My favorite Savannah hotel.
Posted Jan 10, 2013
Pros: The comfortable rooms.
Cons: That its often all booked up.
Location: Perfect. Its only ten minutes from anywhere in up or down town Savannah.
I've stayed here twice and was very impressed both times. This hotel strikes a very nice balance between quality and price. The location is perfect. In mid-town Savannah its less than fifteen minutes from just about anywhere in the city. The lobby is really impressive. Its almost like an atrium or indoor court yard. The rooms all have an entry way with a couch and extremely comfortable beds. The staff is helpful and friendly. The only drawbacks I can think of are extremely nit-picky, the tile work in the bathroom could be better etc....but that really doesn't detract from the stay. Last time I was there, the smoke detector in our room has a low battery and made a chirping sound every few minutes. When I asked the receptionist about getting a battery for it, she was very kind and instead upgraded us from a regular room to a suite. Some hotels like LaQuinta are a little cheaper per night, but there's an enormous leap in quality for a very small step up in price.

Pleasant stay

Cons: Update bathrooms
Older hotel noted some visible signs of aging, but clean and well kept. Staff was friendly and very willing to help....needed some directions and they right away used mapquest and printed them out for us. Convenient location with plenty of shops and restaurants close by....about a 20 to 30 minute drive to historic downtown district due to traffic.. Would definitely stay again.

Short Stay
Posted Jan 14, 2013
Pros: Big rooms/separate seating area
Cons: Humidity in room
Location: Shopping/Dining/Downtown/Tybee Island
Quick stop-over for the night. Hotel was clean and roomy. Air was a little humid for my liking (and yes I am FROM down south). The air conditioner could have been a little better or at least a dehumidifier.

Charming hotel

A charming hotel within about a ten minute drive of historic Savannah. We chose this because it was a more economical option than staying downtown. It is a quiet and charming hotel with a lovely bright atrium where there are easy chairs and breakfast is served. The room was very spacious indeed with a separate seating area, little 'kitchen' area with microwave and fridge plus a desk. Very good value for money. Lovely staff. Would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed our stay
Posted Jan 30, 2013
Cons: Noisy at times
Location: Good location - close to shopping and restaurants.
Good size room, well equipped although could use another sink in the area of the microwave/coffee maker so not have to go to the bathroom all the time for water. A bit noisy at times since all rooms open to a central area which gets noisy sometimes especially when a lot of kids are there.

Pros: Ambience
Location: Midtown Savannah , GA
Absolutely precious inn. Wonderful hospitality. Affordable. Quiet location within reach of main city. We will go back. Better than staying on the riverfront.

Has character and good location.

Pros: The price and location.
Cons: The air conditioning unit in our room was on the noisy side and the temperature of the room was difficult to control so we did not sleep so well.
Location: Quite close to a good mall and all the usual good eating places + not to far from the old part of Savannah.
I suppose we were a little disappointed as the pictures on the Internet looked good. It is in a good setting and looks good from the outside but the interior could do with a bit of TLC as its starting to look a bit tired but has character. Our room was a good size for a family of four but even I noticed the carpet wasn't cleaned around the edges and in corners. We found it difficult control the temperature of the room and the AC system kept coming on and off through out the night as it was to hot to switch it off. Breakfast was basic with few options. My youngest daughter didn't mind as it gave her the excuse of having six doughnuts!
