Best way to unwind

Posted Aug 18, 2014
I have stayed at the Planters Inn before. It is very relaxing my friend wanted to get away from mommy time & this is where to go. Right next door to an excellent restaurant, Olde Pink House, walking distance to the river, etc. Combined with an excellent staff including the car valets & staff filling your ice bucket leaving bottled water, wine & cheese in the evening, etc., this is where you go to be pampered.

Great for a Romantic Interlude

Posted Aug 11, 2014
The Planter's Inn is a perfect match for the quaint, historic charm of Savannah. As I was accompanied by my daughter for the time in Savannah, the charm of the hotel and its amenities was not the perfect match. Its location with regard to the riverfront and all of the awesome restaurants was perfect. That said, if I'm staying over for business or family, Planter's Inn would not be my choice. For any other reason, it is absolutely charming and would be the perfect setting for a romantic interlude or getaway with a significant other. The concierge was more than helpful in getting us reservations at Alligator Soul and The Pink House. The staff was courteous and informative.

Pros: The staff was so friendly and helpful. Made you feel like family.
Cons: Parking
Location: The whole town is alive with history. Great food and music. Beautiful parks. Everyplace we went was the same southern hospitality.
Completely satisfied. What a great experience while traveling the coast.

Cons: The beds
The hotel staff was great! I love the cheese and wine in the afternoon. However, I could not sleep, the beds were hard as a rock.

Very nice hotel, excellent customer service

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The friendliness of the staff and the location of the hotel.
Cons: The only thing I will suggest is changing the rugs, they are clean but worn-out.
Location: The location of the hotel is great, right in the center of the historic district. You can also walk two blocks to the riverfront.
The hotel is in the center of Historic Savannah, walking distance from most of the attractions. The hotel is clean and well kept, with furnishings that make you feel in another era. The staff is very friendly and try to accommodate you to the best of their abilities. I was greeted at the front desk with a smile from Marvin, he's very professional and explained the hotel amenities and also the near by sites and restaurants. In the afternoon the hotel serves in the lobby wine, cheeses, crackers and an assortment of fruits, you can mingle with the other guests and find the best tips about Savannah however, you can also talk to Karen (concierge) and she will be able to book your tour or restaurant and even give you some discounts and hints on the best, and she'll do it all with a big smile. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back.

Perfect

Pros: Nice balance in between a B&B and Corporate hotel that has none of the drawbacks of either.
Cons: Lobby A/C. Could be a bit cooler in the Savanna heat, but rooms are just fine to cool off.
Location: Pink House is across the street - don't miss it. From the pub downstairs to the restaurant to the outdoor patio bar.
Love this hotel - stayed there 4-5 times. Feels like home. Across the street from The Pink House and can even put those charges on your room. Beds are SO comfortable and the A/C rocks in the summer heat. Staff is really nice.
