Location: Lot's of good places to eat
The only thing going for the hotel is the location. We purchased a set of glasses got home and there were duplicate glasses, whereas I explicitly asked if they were different. I have emailed Planters Inn twice and have not received a response. I also called ahead to have flowers in our room since it was our 1yr anniversary and that didn't happen.

Decent hotel but nothing specialPosted Nov 17, 2014
The staff was very nice. The free wine, the free breakfast and warm cookies at night were a nice touch. Definitely a tad over priced but so is every other hotel around. The walls are paper thin so we heard people partying and screaming in the streets until 3 am. The beds aren't very comfortable and squeak badly. Needs some updates but overall a fair place to stay.

Nice hotel in good position for everything.Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Liked the position and the room.
Cons: They had wine and cheese in the lobby every evening, which was very nice, but no soft drink not even water.
Location: Very good location, near to river front, shops and beautiful squares.
Kept us waiting at the desk on check-in even though they said they had our booking and said everything was fine. Everything else was fine.

Bed & breakfast feel in a hotel.Posted Nov 12, 2014
We loved feeling like we were in a bed & breakfast, but had the privacy of a hotel. Location was great. Happy Hour Monday - Saturday with free wine & cheese. Beds were very comfortable. Would stay here again!

Close to riverfrontPosted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Proximity to historic sites & riverfront. Never had to use the car.
Cons: Quietness in he hallways & overall cleanliness
Location: Tours & historic homes & squares were very close by as well as the riverfront
The hotel was very close to the riverfront and many restaurants and historic sites. This was the good news. However, the hallways were very noisy early in the am. The room was not very clean as there were dirt marks on the walls and the baseboard was very dusty. Windows also needed to be cleaned. Some of the staff were very friendly & helpful - especially Karen the concierge and one of the waitresses in the breakfast room. Don't know if we would stay here again.

Excellent Inn!Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Overall historic charm.
Location: Right in Savannah's historic district so lots to see and places to eat.
Warm, friendly greeting when we arrived and ushered to our room immediately. Luggage brought to the room, car parked and we were off and ready to explore. We will definitely stay here again!

Pros: Everything but the breakfast. For Pete's sake, why no large sized plates. I'v had better breakfasts at cheap chain motels.

Wonderful LocationPosted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: The service, the ambience, the amenities and the location
Cons: not much
Location: Location is perfect - near shopping, the riverfront and in the historic district.
Planters Inn on Reynolds Square is in a perfect location. You are close to the riverfront, the historic neighborhoods and downtown shopping. Room service is provided by the Pink House, so if you can't get a reservation, you can still choose from their menu. The Inn provides a buffet breakfast every morning and wine and cheese every night. The only downside is that right across the street is a parking garage, and it is noisy between midnight and 2:00 AM, when all the party people are going home.

Planter's Inn boutique hotel.Posted Nov 9, 2014
Pros: Charming boutique feeling. Great location, friendly staff
Cons: The Internet was the slowest I have ever encountered. Tried to read e-mail and print boarding passed. It took almost 5 minutes per click. Gave up.
Location: We found the location close to all the key sites. Hop on and off a must. Visit some of the old homes. Great food!
The hotel had a nice atmosphere and the daily wine and cheese gathering in the lobby was a nice touch. The breakfast was very satisfactory. Great location, Friendly staff.
