close to highway

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: The front desk clerk was very polite, friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for ease in getting on and off the highway. Nice courtyard.
Cons: Furnishings, paint.
I hope this hotel has recently been purchased by Quality Inns as it is definitely not up to their usual standards. It did look like upgrades/improvements were being made. We were given a room at the very back of the property. It was a very long walk to where breakfast was served, and no take out was allowed. I have trouble walking and would liked to have my husband bring something back to the room for me, but that wasn't allowed. They were re-paving the parking lot where our room was all evening - noisy and smelly. The room was bare, very old looking, and while I didn't actually see dirt, the furnishings just looked old and dirty. It was not a hotel I would recommend or return to. I also worried all night about our car - one entire page in the guest book was devoted to safety and the threat of crime. If Quality Inn has recently taken over this hotel and will bring it up to their standards, it could turn out to be an excellent place. Right now, no.

Dear Valued Guest from MA, thank you for your comments concerning your recent stay with us: Please rest assured that you and your vehicle were safe with us at all times. Our efforts to improve the hotel are ongoing with most rooms completely updated in bedding, carpet and furnishings. We deeply regret that your visit fell on day of parking lot resurfacing and we would have gladly moved you to a room away from any smell or noise and closer to the breakfast. Please accept our apologies and best wishes for future safe travels.

Great quick overnight stop

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: The bed and the breakfast
Cons: Rooms smell a little musty like new carpet may be needed.
Location: Right off the I-95 exit with numerous restaurants close by
The hotel was very nice. The staff were courteous and helpful. The was large with a king bed and sofa. It's an older hotel that appears they have done some updating to. We stayed twice once on our way to Florida and once on the way back. Breakfast was the largest I have ever encountered with a steam table of eggs, biscuts, gravey, sausage along with waffles and cold items.

Good for a quick overnight stay

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: The hotel staff is awesome! We had a car problem and the front desk personnel were extremely helpful in finding us a facility that could help.
Cons: Carpeting and bathroom area are VERY dated.
We arrived at the hotel at 4am. Attendant on duty was very nice and helpful. Informed us we could have a late check out at 1pm for no additional charge. Hotel is definitely dated, but rooms are being updated. It's not a brand new facility. The king size bed and pillows were super comfy. Definite plus in my opinion. The bathroom area is still very dated. Dresser was very small if you were staying more than 1-2 nights. Only one chair in the room.

Very nice accommodations.

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: see above
Cons: Nothing
Location: Not sure about attractions. We were traveling through at night prior to crossing the mountains headed N. from Florida to Ohio via I-77
As a Choice privileges member we always plan our trips to stay at one of your choice hotels. Even though I don't travel as much anymore, I am always pleased with the helpful friendly staff, the cleanliness, the efficiency of the check in staff (Nora or Norma ?) and the variety and convenience of the great in house breakfast bar. I continue to encourage my friends to stay at these fine Choice hotels. You can't beat the great comfort for a fair reasonable price !

Good place to sleep overnight while traveling

Posted Feb 6, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was very good, paper in AM, clean, comfortable king bed . Had microwave and fridge but did not use them. Clerks were friendly and helpful
Cons: Rooms are dated and in rough shape toilet rocked when sat on..
Arrived late in evening and the outdated room was clean, bed comfortable and slept well. Breakfast was better than average with both buffet style (eggs, sausage patty, biscuit and gravy) as well as continental type items (fruit, yogurt, juice, pastry etc) . Local TV did not get CBS morning show which I like so was the only sore spot. If you like Charlie Rose and the gang you may be disappointed. Clerk said they were having lots of trouble with the TV service. All in all, a good deal for overnight travelers.

Attention si vous voyagez avec un animal

Posted Jan 9, 2015
Pros: L'emplacement

Dear Mr. Jacques, Thank you for choosing Quality Inn Richmond Hill, Georgia during your long trip from Montreal along I 95. We regret that you were caught off guard by our pet fee. Our furry guests are very precious to us and we go through great length to keep their "facilities" as "picked up" as possible. We beg your understanding about the fee. We do appreciate your business and feed back and wish you more safe and enjoyable travels in the future. Margit Velasco, Guest Services Manager
