Great--until the endPosted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: Everything except the issue described above.
Cons: At the very least, the hotel manager should have answered or returned my three phone calls to acknowledge he received them.
Location: Savannah, GA. Within easy walking distance of Visitors Center and many tourist stops.
Our overall experience was wonderful, and while we were there the staff was extremely helpful. However, after coming home I realized I had left some purchases in room 220, so I called to ask the manager to look into it. I called--and I called--and I called, having to leave a voice mail each time. Unfortunately, he never returned my call, and I will never stay there again.

Great location for historic districtPosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
I was looking for a hotel near the historic district that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. This hotel is walking distance to a lot of historic attractions, including River St. The room was nicer than I expected, with a full kitchen with full size fridge and a stove top. Fully stocked including wine glasses, and glass cups and plates, silverware, pots and pans, and even strainers and measuring cups. Dishwasher and garbage disposal for easy cleanup. I am picky about beds but this one was very comfortable, as were the pillows. There is a fee listed for valet parking however there are a handful of self serve free parking spots around the perimeter of the hotel. I was lucky and got one, so note that you may not have to pay the extra for parking. I was very pleased with my stay and if back in Savannah I would definitely try to stay here again.

Hotel was excellent and in great location, but our room was not cleaned for two days even after requesting it at the front desk. After the second complaint the evening maintenance man came and changed the bed, took the garbage out and replaced the towels and toiletries.

Your own apartment in Savannah.Posted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: Very large rooms with separate bedroom, kitchen, etc. Great space.
Easy access, parking, walking distance to Historic Savannah, and a real plus for those of us traveling with pets. Next door to a lovely grass park with doggie bags and a trash bin. Separate back entrance a nice plus for walking dogs to and from the park. There is a $100 non-refundable pet fee per stay.

Nice ExperiencePosted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
I typically don't write reviews, but I told the staff @ Residence Inn that I would write one about my stay there in Savannah. The staff was amazing, very helpful, accomodating, knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast buffet had variety, HOT and cold delights, it was more than just cold cereal and bagels. The outdoor fire pit and pool area was quite charming and relaxing. My room was a nice size, king bed with room to spare, a nice home away from home feel. Being a first time traveller to Savannah, and a walker, the location of the hotel was not that far from the River St. shops and restaurants. Maybe 20 min walk, or if you're not up for that challenge, free shuttle bus service stops right in front of the hotel to take you to the areas that you might want to visit. The Distillery restaurant 5 min walk had the most amazing crabcake sandwich, and the grilled catfish was just awesome. Location wise from Amtrak train station, 10 min in no traffic. Parking is tight.......good luck with that! Valet is available for 12 a day. I would recommend this hotel, I'm pleased that I had my first hotel experience in Savannah there.

The entire staff at the Savannah Marriott Residence Inn was very friendly and helpful. They added to the enjoyment of the trip. The morning breakfast and evening snacks were well prepared and delicious! The rooms were very nicely appointed and laid out well.
