Parking the car was cumbersome, the room was stinking and needed deep cleaning. The staff was very polite and kind. The hotel is old and charming but the comfort is not there.

Pros: Location - right on the water, close to everything.
Location: Pink House was great, a don't miss. Skip Vic's on the River, not worth it, poor food, dirty silverware.
Had a nice time, great location, helpful staff. Room had a few minor issues: leak stains in ceiling around the air conditioner. But not bad for a building that's been around for a couple hundred years.

Wonderful stay

My friend and I stayed here for an extended weekend trip. The hotel was comfortable and clean for the most part and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The chocolates at night were a nice touch. We weren't in our hotel for most of our trip but the location was great and it was a great place to return to at night.

Historic Hotel in the Heart of the City

Beautiful historic hotel with quaint rooms, beautiful views, and a lovely rooftop deck. Small signs make it a little hard to spot (even with GPS), but a perfect location. Staff is friendly and amenities are on point.

Nice hotel in downtown savannah

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The view
Cons: The front desk attendant after 4 pm
Location: Awesome location in downtown.
Nice little hotel in downtown savannah. This is not a VIP hotel, there are no VIP benefits as listed in expedia, the hotel doesn't even know what they benefits are. We were first given a dirty room, then the front desk didn't even apologize for giving us a dirty room instead the bellhop apologized and ensured we got another room that was clean. The lady at the front desk even rudely made a call while I was standing there for the new room keys just so she didn't have to speak to me about the mistake. Later a different front desk staff member gave us a river view room for the earlier rudeness and mistake, he was super friendly snd made up for the bad experience we had. The river view room is worth the extra money, the room was big and had a balcony with a fantastic view, and turn down service. A plus from us and that's after a huge problem up front.

Pros: location and security. Overall we liked the hotel . . . except the pillows
Pillows were terrible. The rest of the room was beautiful and cozy. Parking was a pain but probably not any more than other hotels on the river.

Cons: The Inn had terrible, lumpy pillows. Shower water pressure was very low.
Staff was excellent and helpful with ideas to do and discount coupons.

Historic hotel near the River St action

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Historic venue. Charming staff.
Location: River Street events, museums, squares, capital building
Charming and pleasant hotel in a riverfront location near the First Friday and First Saturday events. Staff was eager to please, efficient, and knowledgeable. Conveniently located to the downtown squares, city market and museums.
