One night in Savannah

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Nice Historic hotel in a great location. Walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. Staff was very helpful
Cons: There is no available parking at the front of the hotel to check in. Only about a dozen spots that were all full. must park in public parking garage
We spent one quick night in downtown Savannah as a stop over but plan on going back when we have more time to spend

Great location

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Liked the location, was able to walk every where, squares, telfair museums, Olde pink house, etc. Hotel was historic and quaint.
Cons: Softer beds.
Location: Lots to do nearby.
Was able to park car in garage and walk to all sites, restaurants and squares. Stayed on the 5th floor and the elevator was out of service. The room was clean and decorated nicely, the bed was hard.

Being able to walk all around the historic district from my hotel was great. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay there again.

Disappointing

Pros: Location. Design concept . Room was clean
Cons: Staff was not happy or helpful. May small things did not work or work well. e.g. lights, doors, windowsClose to historic
Location: Close to historic Savannah. Short walk to Pink House
Did not live up to the write - up. Staff was not friendly. Room 506 had many small things that did not work well or were worn. Main elavator did not work for more than one day. Great location.

Nice hotel close to the river

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: I loved the interior furniture.
Cons: The staff at the restaurant/bar area really need to learn manners.
Location: The hotel was close to everything and I felt safe staying here.
The hotel was nice and close to the river. The hotel was very clean and beautiful inside the rooms. I booked a room, but when I arrived, they had to switch me to a different room with less aminities. The front desk staff were very polite and nice, however, the staff at the inside bar/restaurant where not nice. The lady told me the bar was open so I stopped for a glass of wine, however, the bartender said she was closing and I could not stay to have my drink even though there were numerous people still eating. I just paid for a glass to go and went to my room to avoid a scene.

Wonderful stay, great location, beautiful Inn!

Posted Mar 28, 2014
Pros: Location, view, amenities, decor, friendly staff.
Cons: Dust under the bed, fix torn curtain.
Location: Almost every site and restaurant in the historic city is in easy walking, if you are healthy enough to walk.
This location and stay was outstanding! The view from our corner room included the city, Factor's Walk, the cobblestone streets, and part of River Street and the river. Once we got our bearings, we were within easy walking distance of most things we wanted to see. Great restaurants within easy walking, also. The building is beautiful, with a five story atrium at the center. The room was very nice. We overlooked the dust under the bed and a tear in one of the sheer curtains, because everything else was so good. The wife wants to mention that there is no hair dryer, but this was not a big issue. Parking is also best done at the convenient city parking garage around the corner. Load and unload cars directly in front of the inn and move the car. Did I mention the pralines on the pillow each night, or the complementary wine, cheese and cracker social time from 5-6:30? Met some great folks from Indiana! Great service at the front desk and by the staff, also. This hotel helped to make our visit to Savannah special. I would strongly recommend checking here before going to any of the many chain hotels. This hotel will stand out in your mind as a wonderful part of your Savannah experience, unless you are a real picky person. We would have extended our stay, but they were booked.
