Thank you for choosing Marriott. I am sorry you were not aware of our parking fee when booking your reservation. We do feel that our charge is comparable to other downtown properties, and offer easy access to downtown, and Tybee Island. Also, we do offer a continental breakfast, as well as a full breakfast buffet in our restaurant and I apologize if you were not notified of this when you checked in. Please know that your experience has been shared with our Front Office Manager so future guests will be informed. Thank you for your time. Best regards,

Too far from the main River Street area

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Doubles instead of queens so the beds are small. And there is a space for a refrigerator in the furniture but no refrigerator. It's the furthest I've stayed from the center of River Street which I didn't care for. Hotel is nice and because it's all the way at the end of the riverwalk it is right on the river with a nice outdoor deck area on the water which most hotels in the area don't have. Staff is nice.

Thank you for letting us know about your recent stay. It was good to note that you enjoyed the river view from our outdoor deck and the friendliness of our staff, but were disappointed that there was no refrigerator in the room. We do have refrigerators at no charge at our Front Desk. Should you visit in the future, please let us know so we can provide you with one. We appreciate your time and thank you for choosing Marriott. Best regards,

Conference stay

Posted Oct 23, 2014
Pros: The staff went beyond expectations.
Cons: Should have a refrigerator in every room.
Location: Located on the Savannah river. River Street is within walking distance. River street shops and restaurants could keep you busy for a week.
Overall my stay was great, as usual. We had asked for a refrigerator after we checked in and discovered that it was missing. We were told that one would be delivered, but it never arrived. However, we recommend this hotel highly. The staff are great. The room was excellent.

Great hotel on riverfront

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Wonderful staff ver helpful. Our room had river view and was great. Watching the ships go by was cool. Would be nice if room service was availed later in evening. They could get the city to extend the operating hours of the ferry in the evening. I would stay there again.

Disappointed

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Pleasant, personable staff. Great view. Located on the fringe of downtown but still close to everything Savannah offers.
Cons: Property would be a gem if ownership spent a bit on updating and renovations. Hotel would be better served to opt for continental breakfast.
Paid far too much for far too little. The hotel is worn and in need of renovation. Bed linens appeared to be old and were stained. Both nights featured a concert of slamming doors, squeaking beds, and conversation from the surrounding rooms and hallway. Parking is grossly inadequate, especially at $19/night. Opted not to eat or drink in the hotel given the high price and short distance to many of Savannah's wonderful eateries.

Expected more for the money spent

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Near river road and downtown.
Cons: See above
Spent nearly $600 for. Friday / Saturday night stay. I paid more to get a river view, I was placed on the first floor off the Atrium although I was charged for a atrium room. The river view was there if you could see it through the dirty windows. I just expected a much better cleaner and sharper room for that much. I suppose it's not big money but it was to me. Lastly, parking in thier garage, $19 per day??. Really. No I didn't complain in person, probally should have. I won't be back.

Nice location, overpriced accommodations.

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: The hotel staff
Cons: The view, the price, the upkeep.
Location: In the historic savannah district.
The room was priced as a 4 star hotel, but the only thing 4 star was the memory foam mattress pad. The air conditioner barely worked even after it was serviced. The view that was supposed to have a balcony did not. We got one of four rooms on each floor with no balcony and the view was of the parking lot and the back of a palm tree. The hotel staff was nice and courteous and where the high lite of our stay. At over $300.00 per night i have received much better room quality and more amenities.

We appreciate you taking time to let us know about your recent visit and that our staff was the "high lite" of your stay. Our associates are our greatest asset, and their dedication to customer service is evident to each and every guest. I apologize that your air conditioning was not working properly and that the views from some of your rooms was not as expected. We would welcome the opportunity to serve you in the future. Should your travels bring you back to Savannah, and our hotel, request a riverfront room with a balcony when checking in and we will do everything possible to accommodate you. Best regards,
