Nice hotel and location

Posted Aug 21, 2014
The location of this hotel was great. Pretty centrally located to all of the things we wanted to do in town. The staff was extremely friendly and we really enjoyed the wine and cheese! My only "negative" was that our room's window looked out onto the breakfast room instead of the street. I would request an outer room if I stayed again.

Classic Savannah

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Full of historical character, good location. Good restaurant choices nearby. Very nice building. Only thing is if you go with younger children, it's not an atmosphere for kids, but I suppose it shouldn't be for what the historical building that it is. Would be nicer if it has a better view.

Great hotel is historical district

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Visited from Boston, stayed in a double room. Our first time in Savannah. The hotel was beautiful, very clean, well maintained and in a great location. It was a short walk from river street and only a minute or 2 walk away from a bite to eat which we found convenient. The staff was very helpful and SO friendly. The breakfast that was included had a nice spread of cereal, fruit, yogurt, eggs, bagels etc. We would definitely stay here again!

Historic hotel within walking distance of downtown

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: The history and the staff.
Cons: Bathrooms could be renovated.
Location: All of the historic locations, trolley rides and dining are walkable.
My husband and I decided to stay her for our first wedding anniversary. The hotel location is a few blocks back from the river, but the city is very walkable. The staff was very helpful and even lets us change our room when I was concerned about being so close to the elevator door. The hotel is the first hotel in Georgia, so the rooms are a little small, and the floors aren't quite straight. The wine and cheese happy hour was a nice touch. I recommend bringing a book for this event. Breakfast was nice too.

Pros: The staff is fantastic, the breakfast is delicious, and the location is perfect!
Location: Close to transportation, food, shopping, river......anything you want to do.
Spent two days exploring the city with my husband. We parked our car when we got there and didn't need it until we left.

The attentive, pleasant staff were friendly and the doormen were fabulous! We enjoyed the daily breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese in the comfortable downstairs rooms. Children running around in the guest room above ours sounded like we were in a bowling alley, but otherwise everything was great.
