Nice place, so-so service.

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Facility itself, especially the pool and lobby are very nice.
Cons: Employee enough people to meet the needs of the guests without unreasonable delays.
Location: Savannah is nice, especially if you enjoy an artsy environment. The first time you see a major shipping barge on the river its cool.
The service was not good until we complained. The entire hotel appeared to be under staffed. We asked for an ice bucket, it took 1.5 hours to get it. We asked for a bottle opener, they told us they were all out. Help at the pool was non-existent until we voiced concern to management. They were responsive and apologetic. We did appreciate that, but did not really understand why it had gotten to that point. Other guests had the same experience during our stay.

Room was not clean

Wonderful helpful staff, but our room was dirty. There pet friendly, but my pup found the last guests leftovers under the bed... Yuck!

Not worth the money. Inconvenient location. We had to stay there due to a wedding.

Nice stay and enjoyable spa

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Clean, comfortable.
Cons: Concierge left a bit to be desired in terms of helpfulness.
Location: Savannah Historic District, with trolley stops right by the ferry landing pier.
Hotel was very nicely decorated, clean room, and ferry service to Savannah historic district was free and reliable.

Amazing beds and views!

Weston beds are the best! So comfortable. The room was great, nice and clean. The balcony on the 15th floor was so relaxing and the view of the store downtown and the river was amazing! Highly recommended. The staff from the minute you pull up to the minute you driveaway all were extremely helpful. I left my camera lens in my room and came back a few hours later and they had it downstairs waiting for me. This stay at the Westin makes me excited to stay at future Westin's!

One night stay

Loved the room but the resort food and drinks were over priced. Handy location with ferry transportation to the main streets. Slept VERY well!

Pros: Fitness center was great once you got over there. Weather was poor but golf and tennis facilities looked nice.
Cons: More courteous front desk staff. Other staff was very cordial. Inconvenient to have to go to a distant building to use fitness center.
Location: Nice setting right across the river from Savannah
Not bad. Didn't really meet my expectations for a Westin.

hit or miss...

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Our room
Cons: staff knowledge! Good grief- go get a new blender for the bar. 80 degrees and no frozen drinks due to a broken blender. Educate your poolside staff.
Location: downtown Savannah
Late maid service, terrible poolside service, concierge knowledge, so many inconsistencies- not what I'd expect from the Westin. Seemed like one thing after another that culminated in a less than ideal stay. Probably would not return for cost.

Nice place - wish they didn't nickel and dime me.

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Location, amenities, comfortable bed
Cons: The extra charges for resort fees, refrigerator, pool cabanas, were aggravating considering the rate paid for the room.
We enjoyed our stay but were a little frustrated by the additional daily resort fee that we were charged on top of what we paid through Expedia. I was not expecting that. I was also not expecting to have to pay extra for a refrigerator or to use the pool cabanas. Left a sour taste in my mouth.
