Great hotel & amenitiesPosted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Spa - beautiful and friendly staff. Nice services.
We picked the hotel for the amenities between the spa, pool and fitness and enjoyed the use of all of these. The room was clean, beds comfortable and staff were very pleasant and helpful. I am not sure if I would stay again only because of having to keep a tight schedule to make sure we boarded the ferry to get across the river to Savannah for tour and dinner reservations. If you are a person that typically does not like a schedule or tends to run late getting ready, you may not like having to risk being late to an appointment because you missed the ferry which comes every 20 - 30 minutes. We missed dinner reservations one night because the ferry was full and we had to wait for the next one (another 20 minutes). :(

Mother and Mother -in-Law first VisitPosted Jul 11, 2015
Pros: the staff, location, security
Cons: I often check for bed bugs, and the mattress cover did not fit the bed. I did not like the mold in the frig
Location: Loved the tours, church, courts, parks, Tybee Island and the River Walk
The 83 and 76 year old visitors should have SPA fee as optional, we paid for what we would never use. The sights and staff were excellent. There was mold on the refrigerator doors in both rooms.

Riverfront HotelPosted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, staff
Cons: Nothing that I can think of
Location: Quiet location with adjoining golf course, activities across river via free water taxi - shopping, trolley tours, food/drinks, clothing stores etc.
Was on 14th floor, riverfront room. Saw barges going by continuously; took free water taxi to opposite side of river for shopping, sightseeing, etc. Great view of city from room. Fourth of July fireworks were fabulous, great food all weekend.

Okay hotel but not sure why its a "5 star" resortPosted Jun 26, 2015
Pros: comfort of the bed. room service food was good.
Cons: as above
Location: Savannah was great! The dinner cruise was FABULOUS!! Fun stuff to do on River Street. My favorite there was the Trumpet Man.
The bed was VERY comfortable. The room service was good. Gift shop is INCREDIBLY overpriced. The concierge gave me the wrong phone number for an attraction in Savannah. The hot and cold on the shower were reversed, so I finally figured that out after 1/2 a cold shower. No exhaust fan or heater in the bathroom. We ordered pizza late to be delivered--instead of bringing the pizza up to us, they had us come to the front desk to get it--so we had to get re-dressed out of our pajamas to go get it. I would have expected that at a 3 start hotel, but not a 5 star. I went to check out at 5:30 am and print off some mapquest directions to our next stop. There was no attendant at the front desk. I went to the business center to print off the directions (we were going to an area with limited cell service so my navigator wont work there) --the computers wouldn't go to the internet unless I paid extra. I stayed at a lot of hotels, and I have never seen one charge for that. I waited around another 10 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk, but it never happened. Valet service was ridiculously expensive with a $24.95 per night fee so we just parked ourselves which wouldn't have been a problem but it was a little far away and the heat index was 105 degrees. Also, they claim to have a complimentary shuttle for local destinations, but I needed to go to the Honda dealership 4.8 miles away and they said they couldn't go that far.

We enjoyed the room with the balcony since we could watch the ships come in and out of port.
