It’s probably the best hotel in this area. The hotel is very dated and is in need of update. The views from hotel and breakfast area are amazing. Wouldn’t recommend the breakfast, for Italy the standard is very low. Also beds are very hard, if your used to American style mattress it might be hard to get good night sleep. Otherwise the location and easy parking and access to beach is great.

We have been in hotel before Covid and we got room in new building it was nice room, this time they gave us room in old side of hotel which is very outdated and the shower was very small I had to wash my hair with one hand ,the size of shower was 60/70 inches.

Dear Susan, thanks for your survey. We gave you the standard room because it was the one you booked: a Standard room with mountain view and window,J the cheaper roomtype with a marine style furniture.Before Covid you booked a Superior Room with terrace, the newest room of the hotel; they are more expensive, more spacious and modern.We suggest to contact us to get more information about room next time so you can spend a comfortable staying.Kindest regards

Nice hotel
Hotel was very nice and staff was friendly. Only thing was that the hotel was old and needs some repairing. Also there was a lot of dust, so it wasnt well cleaned.

Everything was great except the Air Conditioning at 0330 in the morning. The room got warm for about an hour. Other than that, this is a great place with great views and in a great location

Charming
We stayed in a superior room that was spacious, comfortable and had a large terrace with sun loungers and a sea view. The hotel is set in the side of a cliff and parking is tricky. However, the concierge were very helpful and parked the car for us. The breakfast was superb with a huge choice of hot and cold food for only 3 euros per person . The reception staff gave us some good restaurant recommendations. We found Spotorno to be charming in an old fashioned way. We would return to this hotel if visiting Spotorno again.

Overall nice experience at this hotel with stunning view. Above main coast road, across from beach - hotel has elevator to go down to road. Friendly staff and room was clean.

Great place to stay
Had a Fabulous time in Sportino really lovely room overlooking the bay. The staff couldn’t of been nicer really genuinely kind and friendly. Lots to feast your eyes on in the locality. We will be back.

Lovely position, helpful staff, nearby restaurant.
We had a lovely time here in one of the best rooms. It was sad that the beach closed the weekend we arrived (17th September) as we might have chosen another hotel had we realised. Luckily the beach next door was still open as we came mainly to swim and relax. There were a few coach parties overnight, but as we didn't eat in the hotel at night, this was not disruptive.

Wonderful hotel
This hotel occupies a beautiful position on the hill affording great sea views with easy access to the beach across the street The service provided by staff was above and beyond what is typically expected. They were extremely helpful, kind, and patient helping us with everything from recommending nearby restaurants to organizing a sailing excursion for 10 on last minute notice. The rooms were always clean, and the amenities are great. I would definitely recommend the Aqua Novella to anyone looking to stay in the Spotorno/Bergeggi area.

Lovely Hotel with Gorgeous View
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful bathroom. The staff couldn't have been nicer. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was very good.

We were very happy with our stay and the proximity of the hotel to the beach. It is slightly on the edge of the town so there is a short walk to the centre which was not an issue for us.

Pool was too green with algae to use.wifi only works in the lobby.that's the bad news.The good news is that the room was clean,the bed was firm and comfortable and the breakfast was ample.The staff were great.

Perfect hotel for a beach holiday in Liguria
Perfect hotel for a beach holiday in Liguria. Well maintained hotel, nice pool, clean modern rooms (at least in the new section where we were) and surprisingly spacious for a European hotel. Friendly service at the restaurant, desk and at the private beach.

When Aqua Novella was built in the 50s it must have been a spectacular hotel. While it does need some upgrading - it is still a good hotel. The breakfast is one of the best I've had in Italy - the views are breath taking and the service is very friendly. Our only gripe is that the rooms shown in the photos, did not reflect the room we had - it was small and there was not enough room to swing a cat in the bathroom. The shower leaked and the toilet cistern needs maintenance. We would go back to the hotel but would expect a better room- which they do have.

Great hotel service was fantastic everyone very friendly even if they had limited English it was much better than our Italian so well done to all the staff we met . Hotel very clean breakfast was nice all you could you want . We had an upgrade to a room with a terrace & wow what a view you could see all round the bay . Parking was good beach just 2 minute walk away . Not to much local in the way of shops resturants but there are beach bars & the hotel has a resturant but we did not use it . Bed comfy linen & towels all very clean would go back & have recommended only downside was the swimming pool was not ready but the beach is so close it was not a problem

Hotel Aqua Novella - a nice surprise
This is a delightful hotel and the staff are very helpful. Rooms are large and airy, clean and quaintly decorated. The breakfast was generous and varied. Only comment would be that the restaurant is expensive but food good. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Es war ein traumhafter 9- tägiger Urlaub, welchen wir in dem Hotel verbringen durften. Das Frühstück war so toll, wie die Lage des Hotels. Vom Frühstückssaal und von vielen Zimmern hat man einen traumhaften Meerblick. Es ist Klimatisiert und die Leute sind sehr nett. Es gibt einen Aufzug, mit welchen man fast bis zum Strand gelangen kann. Man ist somit vom Zimmer in nur 5 Minuten mit Nutzung des Hotel und des Strandaufzuges am Strand. Wir waren mit allen Leistungen inkl. des schönen Außenpools sehr zufrieden. Kritikpunkte fallen mir kaum welche ein! Lediglich der Parkplatz-Preis ist mit 16,00 EUR/ Tag ziemlich hoch. Aber man wird nicht gezwungen, auf der Hotelanlage zu parken. Ich hatte großes Glück, in der Nähe einen der sehr wenigen kostenlosen Parkplätzen zu finden. Der Strand unterhalb des Hotels ist ebenfalls sehr schön -nur kosten 2 Liegen und ein Schirm inkl. Hotelrabatt immer noch 35 EUR/Tag.

Schade dass das Restaurant im Hotel geschlossen ist. Das Restaurant am hoteleigenen Strand ist offen, schliesst jedoch wie der Strand um 19.00h. Für ein 4 Sterne Hotel ein Nogo. Das Abendessen mussten wir auswärts einnehmen. Überraschend wenig Leute im Juli, was sehr angenehm war. Liegestuhlmiete mit Sonnenschirm mit € 20.00 p.P./Tag horrend hoch!!

Fantastisk udsigt over havet og skøn pool!
Virkelig dejligt hotel. Vi boede i den nye bygning bag selve hotellet, men det var nemt at komme fra værelset til hovedbygningen via gangbro og elevator. Dejligt poolområde med udsigt til havet. Stor balkon med flot udsigt. Udmærket morgenbuffet. Ikke gourmet, men der manglede ikke noget. Lidt dyrt hotel, men det er udsigten, man betaler for, så det er ok. Nem adgang til stranden via elevator! Vejen op til hotellet er meget stejl og kringlet. God mulighed for parkering (mod betaling). Flere gode restauranter på stranden indenfor kort gåafstand. Det meste af stranden hører til strand-restauranter, der lejer dyre strandstole ud. Men der er offentlige områder ind i mellem restauranterne, som man frit kan benytte. Sådan er det bare i Italien!

Das Hotel punktet mit der Lage und dem eigenen Bagni direkt vor der Tür. Mit einem Lift gelangt man zum Stand was sehr angenehm ist. Schade finde ich, dass wie trotz Superiorzimmerbuchung mit Meerblick direkt das Zimmer an der Hoteltrasse hatten, welches den Alt- mit dem Neubau verband. Sobald jemand diese Trasse betrat konnte man direkt innunser Zimmer schauen. Fanden wir sehr schade und ist nicht gut gelöst worden beim Neubau. Zudem, was wir eine Frechheit fanden, war das Restaurant abends geschlossen. Da das Hotel vom Zentrum dich relativ weit entfernt ist, mussten wir bei strömenden Regen auf Nahrungssuche. Somit finden wir den Preis ein wenignzu hoch für das Gebotene. Frühstück zufriedenstellend und das Personal herzlich und hilfsbereit.
