“Excellent location and value”

An excellent budget hotel within 15-20 minutes walk of all city centre attractions. Staff unobtrusive, but efficient and helpful Highly recommended, especially for a first trip to Leipzig. Suggestions:a mini bar room would be useful for emergencies and'hot cooked meat' as breakfast option.

“central location close to city centre”

Very well situated Hotel, comfortable, breakfast room good (3rd Floor) presentable cold continental Breakfast Buffet ....Coffee poor and scarce, not hot enough, always had to ask for Hot coffee. Rooms very comfortable and well equipped.,nice large Balcony, Car Oarking nearby In all...a good experience and would stay there again

“Perfectly fine”

Now great, not bad. But perfectly fine for the price, and certainly in a handy location.

“DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER!”

When we were walking from the station to the hotel, - a walk of only 20 minutes even with a heavy suitcase, - we were concerned by the numerous derelict buildings that we passed!The Hotel Garni is a converted appartment block, surrounded by some still occupied and other, now, unoccupied appartment blocks . Inside it is a palace! Don't be put off by it's location and exterior! WE WOULD, DEFINITELY, STAY THERE AGAIN on a return trip to this rapidly redeveloping city in a few years time!

“Leipzig Vacation”

My wife and I found the hotel to be very comfortable. The most gratifying part was the fact that we were allowed acces to our room as soon as we checked in @ 9:30 AM. Most pleasant aftera long flight. Gave us a chance to rest and freshen up prior to begining our vacation. Breakfast was very good. Ony suggestion would be to change the selection if possible from time to time for those on extended visit.

“Great 'down to earth' hotel”

the Garni is a hotel located in a refurbished block of flats dating back to the grand social housing schemes. Although it feels box-ey from the outside (due to the architecture) it is absolutely fine inside. The fact that it is an old block of flats means that you get a full flat for yourself (converted into a huge room with fridge, bed, desk/chair ,balcony, bathroom, tv, bedside tables/lamps, entrance hall...): very spacious! the corridors may be a bit fusty (probably due to drains) but the rooms are comfortable, odourless and bright. it is located a 15 minute (leisure pace) walk from the city centre and hence very well positioned. there are several tram lines that pass by (one just 3 minutes away). I'd definitely stay there again. We didn't take the option for breakfast so we cannot comment on that.

“Spacious and Quiet”

The hotel was very basic but certainly adequate. Plenty of room in a solid concrete building with a 20 minute walk into town made this hotel just right. The breakfast was good with much on offer. Overall, good value for money.

“Good value”

The breakfast was plentiful and very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Steps were unavoidable on entry to the hotel whether you used the back door or the front door(oddly, the front door WAS the back door) Room floor was rather dusty next to the bed and in the corner behind the fridge. The room was spacious, bright and nice view. Location was convenient. Good value for the money.

“Perfectly serviceable but not luxurious”

It's an OK place to stay - clean, a few minutes walk from the beautiful centre of Dresden - it's basically an East German apartment building that has been adapted to a hotel, with apartment-sized rooms with kitchens, living rooms etc. It's a bit hard to find as BACK of the hotel faces the road, and you can't drive up to the front . . . although there is a back door, the front desk said they couldn't open the back door so we had to schlepp our bags all the way around the building to the front . . . next morning at checkout, the back door was already open.

“Excellent small hotel”

This is my second visit to this hotel. This is a small confortable hotel very well situated near the main attractions in Leipzig. It is a clean hotel with a very good breakfast buffet (German type) and a very friendly staff. For a bussiness trip or short visit is quite satisfactory. It does not have wireless connection to th einternet. There is a bussiness room with oe computer to use free of charge.
