excellent rooms/very modern and excellent situation in the middle of leipzig which is a great city (my first time here...although it will not be my last after this experience of a five day trip there ).

“Great Hotel”

Great hotel in a good location, rooms very clean and comfotable. Hotel staff very friendly & helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Leipzig.

“Good, but needs some improvement”

This hotel offers the standard Radisson comfort, with a few shortcomings. It is well-located, at the western edge of the old-town center. The beds and pillows are superb, room-size quite good, and the bathroom well-appointed. The front-desk staff are quite helpful and fluently bilingual. The breakfast is decent, albeit (as always, with hotels) overpriced. But some features fall short of Radisson standards. There is no wifi, and in fact, my first room had a broken wired internet connection; when I phoned the front desk about it, they had to switch me to another room, to get a working connection. The climate control also did not work in the room to which I was moved. When I spilled something that created a stain on the carpet, instead of cleaning it, the cleaning staff moved the wastebasked to cover it. There was no clock in the room. Nor was there an iron in the room. Little touches like this, in my mind, form the difference between an adequate hotel and a fine one (though a clock is hardly a little touch...), and this Radisson does not quite make it into the latter category. Still, at the prices that one may sometimes find as Expedia specials, this hotel may be the best bargain in town.

Excellent hotel for a business trip or a long weekend visit to Leipzig. The staff were very helpful throughout.

“Great location for exploring Old Town Leipzig”

Would have rated the room comfort a 4 except for a sharp cupboard corner that was situated where it would be easy to bang your temple if you weren't careful everytime you went by it, a flaw in the design. Other than that, it's a great spot for exploring Old Town which starts right across the street. We asked a few questions from several of the desk staff and all were super nice and helpful. Nice buffett breakfast in the morning that was served until 11:00. Another bonus for jet-lagged tourists.

“Total lack of privacy.”

Whilst the hotel is conveniently located in the town's centre, and close to all the main attractions, there are a number of shortcomings with the rooms that you really would not expect from a Radisson. First and foremost the bathroom: there is no door or wall dividing the bathroom from the rest of the room, meaning that anyone else in the room can enjoy the view of you flossing your teeth or showering. What's more the shower itself is not private, that is, there is just a glass window dividing the shower from the room, in other words, everyone in the room can take a look at you having a shower. Luckily, the loo was protected by a sliding door. Whilst this modern and funky set up can be ok if you are sharing a room with a partner or a close friend, it is certainly not ok if you are sharing with a work colleague or your parents! Sorry but this issues of privacy are way too important and they overshadow the otherwise pleasant atmosphere of the hotel. Not recommended to shy or private people. Perfect for nudists.
