Poor quality but what do u expect for €50Posted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: Nothing particularly
Cons: The attitude of the staff
Location: Rubbish location. Nothing to do in vicinity.
Not a great hotel. The location is quite far out of Leipzig city centre and there are absolutely no amenities close by. The staff had very poor English and were not very helpful. Everything seemed a trouble to the guy on reception. I had to coax him to give me an iron and an ironing board. Lots of graffiti on neighbouring buildings. Not a great area. But to be fair the breakfast was ok and what do you expect for €50!

Nice hotel but a little chillyPosted Jan 27, 2013
Lovely hotel, the only reasons that it was not 5 star reviews were that the room was slightly cold, despite the heating being on full. Also the shower has a glass door and was actually in the room, next to the bed, so you could watch your partner showering - ok if you are a couple, but if you are sharing with a friend it could be awkward

Great staff, pleasant stay but not really centralPosted Aug 10, 2010 on Hotels.com
The staff at Central Hotel Leipzig were most helpful and welcoming. I arrived in the evening about 7:30 or 8 pm, however, and discovered that nearly all the restaurants in the surrounding neighborhood were already closed. The Leipzig Hauptbanhof (main train station) and central Leipzig are actually a few miles away from the hotel. If you don't have a car, there is a tram you can use to reach the city center (hotel staff will be glad to point you in the right direction), or you could take a taxi for a pretty reasonable fee.

Not bad, not un-forgetable, just fine.Posted Jan 20, 2010
The hotel was as I was expected. The only problem I found was that it was a bit further from the city center than expected. You must travel about 7 or 8 stops from the train station, but there are no transfers. This is a good choice if you are not looking for anything above and beyond. It has everything you need, but is not memorable. I was satisfied.

Central Hotel LeipzigPosted Jan 19, 2010
The hotel is a short tram ride from the main railway station. It had a reasonably well stocked and comfortable bar. The room was a little bit dated, compared to the public areas of the hotel, but it was comfortable. The bathroom was more modern. As is common in European hotels, there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. A large continental buffet-style breakfast was provided with some hot options. Staff were helpful. There is not a great deal in the immeadiate surrounding area, but the centre of town was only about 15 minutes by tram. We would stay here again.

Great breakfast!Posted Aug 20, 2009 on Hotels.com
A little disappointed that the double room we had booked actually contained two single beds at right-angles along two sides of the room. However, since everything else, including facing onto the quiet inner courtyard instead of the street with its tramline, was fine, we did not ask for a change. Bathroom and shower were small but modern and well-equipped. Room was on the first floor and had a ceiling fan which provided sufficient air conditioning during a hot spell in August. The buffet breakfast was especially good: both quality and variety (cereals, fruit salad, nuts and seeds, melon, yoghurts, various breads and rolls, cold meats, sliced cheeses, brie, cooked bacon and scrambled eggs, orange and apple juices, coffee); the buffet was assiduously replenished and ran between 06.30 and 10.00 approx.
