Leipzig Central

Posted May 29, 2014
Pros: Parking garage next door was very reasonable.
Location: The old city is very close. Train station is across the busy street.
We found the hotel very easy using the Garmin. The parking was good next door in the public garage. The hotel is very centrally located to all of the walking sights in Liepzig.

Very comfortable and cosy hotel

Posted Nov 27, 2013
First-rate location - directly opposite the railway station and around the corner from the city centre. Attractive and comfortable room, Excellent breakfast downstairs and a cosy lounge area on the ground floor. We ate in the town centre so did not get to sample the hotel's restaurant but would expect it to be of high quality going by what was offered at breakfast. Price of room reasonable for Leipzig but it does get booked quickly and that increases the price.

Nice Hotel, Convenient Location

Posted Oct 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
My husband and I were traveling around Germany by train and this hotel was a one night stop over for us. There is a Stasi Museum about 25-20 minutes walk from the hotel which was our reason for stopping in Leipzig. This hotel is right across from the Hbf, which was very convenient. And although our room was overlooking a street, it was quiet. There are many restaurants in and around the hotel for a late dinner or if you need to grab breakfast in the morning. (We really liked Leo's, a local hang out a few blocks away. They have an English menu and great food. The bagel place close to this hotel is good, too).

Great location, nice facility, good for families

We really enjoyed this hotel - we traveled with our 2 year old daughter and were happy with the amount of space we had in the room. There was plenty of room for her Pack n Play, plus there was a small table with two chairs, a desk, and a couch, so lots of room for us all to spread out. There is a tiny, stocked mini-fridge, but we were able to eke out enough room for some milk and yogurt. In the same building is a bagel place, and we ended up going there for breakfast each morning for bagels and smoothies.

Very stylish and efficient, close to railway.

Very helpful reception staff pointed out that the train station provided significantly cheaper parking than they could offer! The bathroom was a little strange, with windows to the bath/ shower from the bedroom. I was slightly disappointed that the "do not disturb" notice was ignored by cleaning staff at. 11:30am. The in house "Steak Train" restaurant was very impressive in food quality, quantity and price, although the waiting staff could have been faster/ more attentive.

the wifi in the room did not work and despite my repeated requests to do something about it they never did anything. They should just not promise that wifi if they cannot deliver. They could have offered me either a free breakfast or some other promotion to make up for that but they were surprisingly unresponsive

Very good stay just across from train station

Posted Aug 13, 2013
Pros: Shower water pressure.
Cons: Hotel should revamp their system to offer free and unlimited WiFi.
Location: Right across from train station and walking distance to every major attraction and sites.
I got a terrific value from Expedia but because it was such a great deal, it excluded breakfast. Breakfast was 16 Euros so I went to the Starbucks just a block away instead of eating at hotel. Internet/WiFi use is very limited (to an hour) so I used the WiFi for free at Starbucks as well. The water pressure in the shower was the highlight of my stay. I wish I had that kind of shower at home.

Beyond expectations

This hotel was fantastic. I only speak English so was worried I would struggle to find my hotel after a 4.5 hour train trip to Leipzig. I was so wrong; to my delight, the hotel is directly opposite the train station. Everything about the hotel was immaculate and staff were very friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel for the cheap price. Highly recommended!

comfort and convenience

Pros: quietness, convenience for the centre of Leipzig
Cons: Breakfast was not inclusive and was far too expensive (16Eu), particularly if one had a family. I did not take breakfast in the hotel as a result.
Location: Excellent - within yards of the Hautbahnhof, but on the edge of the historic centre of Leipzig.
The hotel could not be more conveniently placed for the traveller who arrives by train - within yards from the Hautbahnhof, but on the edge of the historic centre of Leipzig. A very pleasant stay and, with the excellent doubling glazing, surprsingly quiet, even though it faces the Hauptbahnhof and the tram station. The room had effective air-conditioning sopm it could be cool in very hot weather.

This hotel offers much to business and vacation traveler. Its restaurant was undergoing some repairs for the first couple of days of our stay, but then opened on the last day. It has a train motif, with cars for dining and for buffet, e.g. for breakfast. It is near the train station and about one km from the center of town. Parking is nearby, and relatively inexpensive.
