Kids palace

Posted Apr 30, 2014
Pros: The water park is its best selling point.
Cons: Some updating in the rooms.
Location: The location is nice right off of 611 which has many restaurants, the outlets and small stores.
As a first time visitor to GWL, I was pleasantly surprised. I went with my grandsons (2-4), my son and daughter-in-law and my 85 year old Mom. We booked the Majestic Bear Suite for 2 nights 3rd Floor which accommodated all of us nicely. Sure the rooms could use some updating and the price could be discounted but all in all we had a nice time. One thing to keep in mind before you sign up is that this is a vacation for the KIDS the adults are secondary. Hibernation period or quiet time (11-7) was followed when I visited. We opted to eat at the local restaurants which are many on Rt. 611. We also brought food and snacks with us for breakfast and lunch. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful.

First Time but not the Last!

Posted Apr 29, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, Family-Friendliness
Cons: prices on extraneous items. faster check-in on a Sunday afternoon.
Location: Scotrun Diner - cheap, good food Crossings Outlets American Candle Factory
First time at Great Wolf Lodge. I got a great deal on Expedia and wanted to give it a try with my family (2 boys - ages 12 & 13). We all had a blast. Tons of stuff to do in the water park as well as in the rest of the facility. However, be prepared to spend money. Everything but the water park entrance is extra (glow golf, arcade, mini-bowling, etc.) We were there just one night and didn't do a lot of the extra stuff. We also ate dinner at the nearby Scotrun Diner which was much cheaper - the food was good there, too. I packed some breakfast foods so we only purchased snacks on site. Be sure to bring your own waters and snacks if you are looking to save money. Love that they provide towels in the water park...one less thing for me to carry around and pack.

Nice resort, great with food allergies

Posted Apr 27, 2014
Location: We went to Crayola Experience in Easton, PA which was wonderful!! Fun for all ages! It was about 40 minutes away
Our son has food allergies & each time we ate there a chef came out to go over his allergies and make him a special meal. This meant the world to us! We had the Kid Kamp room and our two boys loved it. Room was great except that there was nowhere to hang wet bathing suits, cover-ups, etc. Kinda strange since they are a water park resort. The water park was a blast!! The arcade was a good size but kind of pricey.

Great Easter weekend

Posted Apr 22, 2014
The room was made available to us after 4:00PM on the day of arrival but we were able to use the facility before checking in and the full day upon checkout. The room was perfect for our family of 7. They had a gift for us for Easter Sunday (Easter eggs filled with candy). Wristbands can be configured to open the rooms and/or charge food and amenities to your room. They had a dinner and breakfast buffet that was reasonably priced. The rate was quite high because it was spring break but if you are able to book during low season, it is well worthwhile.

Fun indoors. Especially with crazy northeast weath

Fun for a couple teens boys and a mom. Arcade more pricey than I remember. Missed the 14 and up gaming room. Probably won't be back since not as teen friendly as it used to be.

A Quick Little Get-a-Way

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: The overall theme and decor are well done and well kept.
Cons: The temperature in our room was a little hard to control for some reason.
Location: At just an hr away from our house, this is the perfect weekend destination. We also love shopping at the nearby outlets & the local Bonzai restauran
Had a great time escaping with our two children, ages 6 and 11, for a couple of days. There was plenty to do for both ages, the staff is always friendly, and the brunch is always delicious! We look forward to going back again soon!! :o)
