Beautiful hotel in quiet groundsPosted Oct 12, 2013
Cons: Can't think of a thing
Location: Just north of Peebles town and quite close to Traquair. Also worth the 45 mins trip to New Lanark to see Robert Owen's cotton mill.
Excellent, great place to stay, small and very select. Staff very helpful, food fabulous, rooms delightful with lovely pillows! Highly recommended.

Good base for exploring surrounding area!Posted Sep 6, 2013
Pros: It was off the beaten track and a short distance from the main road, we never heard the traffic.
Location: Edinburgh was just up the road! We took advantage of the park and ride at nearby 'Penicuik' takes the headache out of driving through the city.
It was a delightful place to stay, the walled garden was beautifully kept and there was seating for you to tale in the delights.

staying at Cringletie HousePosted Jun 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
We spent two nights at Cringletie House celebrating our Pearl Wedding Anniversary. The hotel was great and we dined in the restaurant the first night. It was a 'fine dining' experience. The food and the service was excellent. Our stay felt very special.

Fantastic!Posted Mar 16, 2013
Brilliant secluded hotel with fantastic food and great public rooms and comfortable bedrooms. It was a shame the shower was so poor but this is likely to be a result of the fact it is an old building. Travellers should also not that there is not a bus stop nearby, we very much enjoyed the walking others may want to hire a car.

Wonderful stay and the food is excellent,Posted Jul 16, 2012 on Hotels.com
Hopefully, we checked in early otherwise we would have stayed in the under-roof room, we changed and it was perfect. Staff, hotel, surroundings really we could recharge our batteries...Wonderful Scotland. Special mention for the food. Being French I am very jingoistic on the subject but this time I have to recognize that the meals on the menu, and the a la carte are amazing. We really came across new flavors, new meal presentation, you imagine beetroots jelly as decoration and to enhance the dish. Many restaurants in France are far away from this one. Great souvenir of Scotland .Thank you
