“NOT IMPRESSED”

THE HOTEL IS IN NEED OF PAINT AND CLEANING AROUND THE WINDOW AREA. THE LIGHT IN THE BATHROOM IS FULL OF DEAD BUGS, THE TOILET IS HARD TO FLUSH. THE TEMPERATURE OF THE WATER IN THE SHOWER GOES HOT TO COLD AND BACK AGAIN. THERE WAS NO ONE IN SIGHT WHEN I TRIED TO CHECK OUT. THERE WERE NO TISSUES IN THE DISPENSER IN THE BATHROOM. THE SHEETS WERE CLEAN. THE AIR CONDITIONER DIDN'T WORK.

“Overnight Stay”

If you need a place to stay for a few days, this place is overall a great place to stay. You can tell they are renovating the rooms as well as the hotel during our rough economic times as best as they can. Unfortunately, we needed a place to stay for our Auntie's funeral and it was inexpensive and located near the major highways. The only discrepancy with our stay was we never received the extra bath towels as requested. However, the girls used the dry pool towels.

“Scottsbluff”

The hotel staff was helpful and polite. Our hotel was poolside which was nice. The indoor pool and hot tub were great after a long day in the road. Close to shopping and food and was a great place to stay at!

“Last visit really SHOULD have been my last.”

I stayed there about 15 years ago--should've been my last stay. Dirty, paper peeling off walls in rooms, stained tubs. Breakfast was a joke. I went in at 8:30 to a couple of hard donuts, two cups of coffee in the pot, no o.j. and that's about it. I asked the manager if he had any more coffee or bagels, coffee or juice, and he looked at his watch! I assured him there was still 1/2 an hour before breakfast was over. Sad, sad place. :(

“Marginal - poor management”

Our main issue was that the room was not ready. We waited nearly an hour, and then my wife had to help the laundry woman make the bed. We finally got access at about 4 PM. The room was marginally clean, and I even found an empty water bottle under the bed.

“No Customer Service”

As I mentioned above, there was very little attention paid to my attempts at communication. I rented 4 rooms for 10 of us. All rooms had soaking wet carpets when we arrived. The towels (3 sets each) were very thin. The grout on the bathroom tile appeared to NEVER have been scrubbed. The air conditioner gave off a horendous noise. I requested a cot for one of the rooms two times. It never showed up. I was in a room with 3 my granddaughters. They were not ready when room service showed up. Room service did not check back. Our room was not cleaned that day. I paid $10 extra for pool side rooms. 'Pool side' meant that we had a second story balcony over the pool. Two of the rooms' balconies were not overlooking the pool. The pool was cloudy from too much chlorine. You could note even see the bottom. The hot tub was gray. Thankfully, no one got sick. The breakfast was ok - dry cereal, two kinds of juice, donuts, fruit, coffee and bagels/cream cheese. The desk clerk said she was trying to get waffle machines. I hope she does. One more thing: Do not stay here unless you enjoy the smell of stock yards.

Area recommendations
The area of this hotel is fine - very convenient to restaurants, altho, I would avoid Whiskey Creek. We waited 2 hours and our food was horrible. Shari's is a much better choice, altho no drinks...
Dining
Whiskey Creek was a horrible experience. When we arrived, we waited 20 minutes -the restaurant was packed. We sat down, ordered, then waited over 45 minutes for our food. When it arrived, it was horrible. The wierd thing was, there were only 4 tables in the restaurant that were occupied. I guess the kitchen staff took a breather after the dinner rush. I do not recommend this restaurant at all! Shari's, on the other hand, was great. Wonderful food, great staff. Wierd, tho - their menu has a page describing beer, wine, and cocktails. But they don't serve alcohol at that restaurant - I guess they do at their WY locations. Easy fix: remove the page from the sleeve!
Outdoors or beach
Lake Minatare is awesome! We used a shelter house near the light house. The kids swam - the beach across the road was great. The weather was wonderful. A park ranger drove by to welcome us and provide a trash bag. What a beautiful place.

“Cheap and Dirty”

Stayed 2 days because of reservations. First room had dried blood and food on the sheets and the blankets. tv turned on at the door entrance. The second room offered the clock never worked very old hotel dirty every where from lack of up keep. Second day the room was not cleaned there were no clean towels no coffee, soap or liners in waste baskets, The contential breakfast was nice and lady doing it was nice.We would not stay here again. the pool was nice and appeared clean. Just an old hotel. People who helped us were not really interested. We heard alot of negatives on being unclean from other people.

“Don't Stay at the Days Inn”

This hotel is in need of a major overhaul. The front desk recommended a terrible restaurant and even told us it was bad. Come to find out Sheri's was open all night and had great food. The floors weren't vaccumed, the tub needed to be scrubbed, and the mattress was sunk in the middle. We reserved two rooms and they were both the same. Sometimes saving a few extra bucks is just not worth it.

Area recommendations
If I had it to do over again, I'd pick the same area but a different hotel.
Dining
We would highly recommend Sheri's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Its open 24 hours and its not too expensive. However, Oles Mexican had terrible food. It is supposed to be authentic but, I've never tasted anything so awful in my life. We love Mexican and were sadly disappointed.

“Alright for the price”

The rooms weren't real clean. This is a good hotel for families, because there are many poolside rooms. The pool looks nice, but we didn't use it. If we took our kids, we would probably stay there again.

Area recommendations
This is a good area to stay since it's close to most things.
