I found the resort itself to be beautiful and the surroundings were awesome. The only issues that I really had were that the main pool was closed for repair I wish we had known this prior to going. A cleaning rag was left in the shower and there were crayon marks on the inside of the bathtub which I wiped out with ease. It did make me wonder if the tub had been cleaned though. The clubhouse pool should have been kept up a bit more often I think. I do understand bugs and things like that but it seems to me that they could have cleaned it more often. The staff was wonderful. Not sure that we could have had any better staff to work with. Had breakfast at the restaurant. It was quite pricey but the food was very good. I did locate a Target store within a few miles so that worked well for drinks and things like that. They do have a mini bar in the room. However, the prices are very high. I think a bottle of wine was $42. So needless to say we did not have any of the snacks or utilize any of the drinks from the mini bar. Rather we went out and bought our own at Target.

"Nice Retreat"
Pleasant surprise. This was a nice retreat in a good location in Scottsdale. Very nice golf course with a nice sitting area and bar to look out over the course and relax in the morning or evening. They would also build you a fire in the fire pit at your request. The rooms were spacious and the bed was VERY comfortable. It was a tempurpedic mattress. The only caution is that unless you are an exabishanist don't turn on the light and walk around in a state of undress, as the blinds in our room didn't exactly close all the way tightly. Which I discovered at 3 a.m. when I walked thru the living room to the bathroom and could see plainly across the way into the other condo's dining table area and the people sitting there. Thankfully I had NOT turned on my light, but they had theirs on. Other than that it was a delightful stay.

"Beautiful surroundings"
Nice room, comfortable beds and beautiful grounds and surrounding area. On the down side, it was hard to know which building was the main office, since there was no sign I could see, only clue was I saw a pool area over a low wall. Our room was very clean and we had a nice jetted tub and fireplace, downside, we had no hot water when we went to shower or bathe. Next day needed to iron our clothes that of course were somewhat wrinkled from being packed, only to find, they need a new iron, this one supposedly was a steam iron, with no steam, the button was broken, the iron never got hot enough to really get the wrinkles out, it took me the longest time holding it in one spot to even make a dent in the wrinkle. Went to call for room service for our breakfast since we were in a very tight morning schedule, we wanted to try to eat in the room while getting ready, sot much time to go to the golf club room to eat, only to find out for some reason, they were not doing room service that morning? HUH? Very disappointed, so we never got to eat until later in the day...I guess when you get a decent room rate, this is what happens..In all fairness, the desk clerk was very nice and accommodating, just know there was only so much she could do. When we called about the Hot water, the only thing she could have done was offer to move us to another room, my Husband is very ill and at that time, it was not an option for us.We did have hot water the next morning .

"Better than expected"
Room was very spacious , great bedding and modern looking. Pool is super, kids flock towards their own separate pool which is a great idea. The restaurants at the resort are fantastic, although LaHacienda entrees were stingy, considering the price. Would definitely come back. Love the golden lab that can be seen in the front lobby !

"AWESOME"
Every staff person I came in contact with was very pleasant, friendly, cheerful and helpful. Each person would go out of their way to make sure they addressed my questions and always asked if there was anything else they could help me with. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! . The ladies at the spa were awesome! They treated me like a queen. I will definitely stay there again.

"5 star experience"
I cannot say enough great things about our stay. The facilities & grounds are beautiful! The rooms are nice & beds are very comfy. They supply high end complimentary toiletries & provide a variety of complimentary toiletries you may have forgotten including shaving cream, sewing kits, slippers, etc. The restaurants were all excellent esp. Alto! Fabulous food. Amazing wait staff! In fact, the service from everyone, from the bell hop to housekeeping, was exemplary. Loved the general store. They have the most delicious homemade granola I've ever had. The bartenders, esp Brent was very friendly, full of wonderful info & suggestions. And the drinks he makes (I only drank margaritas) are outstanding!!! Worth every single penny! The adult pool chaises fill up quickly. Go early about 10ish to put your towel down & be back w/in an hour. The pool staff watch to see if they are being used or just held. I didn't care for the drinks at the pool bar. They were much better at the hotel bar next to Alto. Take advantage of the free mountain bikes, grab a water & go explore. Lots to see. It's just a lovely area. The only complaint we both have is that the walls of our room were very thin. We could hear everything next door esp in the bathroom. Unfortunately, we had a very, very, very rude family of 5 staying next door. Their little 4 yr old son would wake up every single morning at 6:45a. That was the only part that really sucked!
