Terrible bedsPosted Jul 23, 2014
The hotel was nice and staff was very helpful in getting our money refunded, but for the price and expectation that a Sheraton is a upper scale hotel, the bed in the room was horrible. It was absolutely as hard as a rock. On a vacation location is one thing, and comfort of room is another, so for me a good night's sleep is very important. This place has the worst beds I've ever sat on, I didn't even try to sleep on it. We got a refund and went to the hilton

NOT WORTH THE MONEYPosted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Not much
Cons: The price should have been $65 a night
Location: Not much nearby and the we should have stayed at a different hotel.
The hotel toilet ran all night. Had to get Maintenance worker to fix it. Bathroom door was warped and would not close. Water stain on ceiling from leak in the bathroom. Bathtub would not drain. And it the room right next to linen closet - So we heard people all night. Very disappointed - I could have had a better room with half the cost.

Not what I expected.Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: The bed was comfortable and flat screen.
Cons: Keep elevator clean and place more lighting in parking lot have a sign where to check in.
Location: The location seemed less desirable than other Sheraton I have stayed. I was attending orientation at Scranton which was near by the hotel.
Elevator was dirty and parking facility was not well lighted.

hotel nice, service lackingPosted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: clean, close to I-80 interstate
Location: stores close by, and close to interstate
Hotel newly renovated, so naturally everything was new. however we received no maid service on a three night stay. When ask why? we we're told because they are short staff, plus fourth July weekend. Let me see your a hotel and your are short staff on holiday weekend, what did you expect would happen, no customers would show up! This hotel needs someone who can manage it properly. We were not offer anything for our inconvience.

Nice hotel close to the city but quiet locationPosted Jul 8, 2014
Our room was very clean, and the staff was friendly. The common areas didn't get tidied quite as quickly, but overall a great experience. The pool was fantastic we spent most of our time in there!

Great for Pocono activitiesPosted Jul 6, 2014
The hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly. Some driving required for Pocono attractions, but worth the savings.

Low key; good price; near colleges and hospitalsPosted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: Location near central Scranton. Many food options. Our room on top floor was quiet with great view -- town with mountains in distance! Immaculate.
Cons: Soap at the sink? we really didn't need it. Another chair for a double room. Music in the foyer and elevators was kind of loud, but room was quiet.
Location: It looks like an area near colleges. Lots of local traffic, grocery, drugstore, inexpensive places to eat, student housing options.
We came to stay overnight to see a relative in Moses Taylor hospital, choosing a motel near I-81 but near the center of the Scranton area. Turned out that the hospital was not too far, and we found it readily with our GPS. So it was quite convenient. Also good was that there were many inexpensive places to get food nearby, and a pleasant restaurant in the motel. Our room was relatively inexpensive but had no microwave or refrigerator, but did have a little coffee-water heater with packets for coffee and chocolate. We picked up a light lunch at the grocery across the street and ate in our room. We ate dinner at the motel. A very quiet Thursday evening, we were almost alone, but the food was excellent, with complex flavors and cooked to perfection. Kudos to the chef. From the restaurant we could see some of the lobby, a short bar, and an outdoor courtyard. No complimentary breakfast, I think. We ate nearby. The room and bath were a little on the small side, but had an excellently located full-length mirror. Beds and bathroom were very clean. Mattress was thick and a little stiff for me; my husband slept like a rock. No soap at the sink, but dispensers in the shower for shampoo, etc. We had two beds but one chair--I sat on the luggage holder (comfy). A good place for business travelers? Swimming pool and fitness room; we didn't go there this time. Wi Fi worked. I saw no children until near the hospital.
