Disappointing

Pros: location
Cons: EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE ADDRESSED ABOVE.
Location: I was there for sons in college in the area
Staff not friendly, room was not clean and smelled musty, bathroom floor was filthy, bathtub dirty, reserved room for four adults and bathroom had only three bath towels, two hand towels, and two washclothes, one tiny bar of soap, very very little toilet paper I had to ask the front desk for toilet paper disgusting, air conditioner did not work properly.

Beautiful hotel real landmark.

I am from NYC and this hotel reminded me of Grand Central Terminal. Beautiful lobby and dining area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room (guest room) with one queen size bed however was very small much smaller than it looks on the picture. Room cleanliness could be better as well. I had a diner in their restaurant everything was outstanding including desert. Overall I am very satisfied with my experience I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would come back again.

Nice lobby. Not nice room.

When you walk in the lobby is impressive. The front desk was friendly enough, but when we walked into our room....gross. It smelled really really bad. The bath tub was all stained with dirt and wicked old. One of the two towels was all ripped up. Uncomfortable beds. Had to doubt the cleanliness of the bed, but you never know do you?

Disappointing

Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: The room was small as was the bathroom.
Location: As above convenient and never got to see the places around it.
It was a modest room and more like an inexpenive motel.

Not what I expect!

Pros: Close to Busch Gardens
Cons: Clean it, please.
I was underwhelmed at this hotel. The night manager was not friendly or inviting at all even though I am a Hilton Honors member. The carpet is atrocious and should have been replaced a year ago. They could have at least vacuumed the floor. The room was ok but the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. I would not stay here again.

Incredible Hotel

Cons: Make the parking free.
Historic hotel with incredible charm close to downtown and University of Scranton. Hotel lobby is stunning, preserving the local history of the county. Hotel room was clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious. Great hotel with lots of dining choice. Internet was free and fast. A real gem. Will stay there again.

Nice location with possibilities

Pros: Physically there are woderful things here.
Cons: Pay attention to detail.
Location: Centrally located. There's a great texas weiner place a block away.
One lamp was inop. Could hear next room through divider doors. Sounds from another shower were very loud. Overlooked a damaged item on the roof. Charging $5 for parking seemed to be a bit of a rip.

Terrible air conditioning

Air conditioner never cooled the room and the beds were lumpy. The restaurant was excellent though. Staff very nice. Old place and we paid more on expedia than my cousin who called and made the reservation direct.
