Nice lobby. Not nice room.

Posted Aug 19, 2014
When you walk in the lobby is impressive. The front desk was friendly enough, but when we walked into our room....gross. It smelled really really bad. The bath tub was all stained with dirt and wicked old. One of the two towels was all ripped up. Uncomfortable beds. Had to doubt the cleanliness of the bed, but you never know do you?

Thank you for your comments. We are thrilled that you enjoyed our Grand Lobby Atrium, but disappointed to hear that your excitement did not carry over into your impression of the room. I will address your comments and concerns with our Housekeeping department to ensure that our rooms are consistently cleaned to the standards of operation that we hold ourselves to at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel. Thank you again for your time, we hope you'll return again in the future for the opportunity to meet and exceed all of your expectations.

Disappointing

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: The room was small as was the bathroom.
Location: As above convenient and never got to see the places around it.
It was a modest room and more like an inexpenive motel.

Not what I expect!

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Close to Busch Gardens
Cons: Clean it, please.
I was underwhelmed at this hotel. The night manager was not friendly or inviting at all even though I am a Hilton Honors member. The carpet is atrocious and should have been replaced a year ago. They could have at least vacuumed the floor. The room was ok but the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. I would not stay here again.

Robin, we are sorry to hear that you found your visit to our hotel to be underwhelming. We certainly appreciate your comments, and apologize for the concerns you mentioned regarding your visit. We are excited to announce a full rooms renovation this winter which will indeed restore the Lackawanna Station as the premier lodging facility in the northeast. We hope you'll return in the future and give us the opportunity to meet and exceed your expectations of service and accommodation.

Incredible Hotel

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Cons: Make the parking free.
Historic hotel with incredible charm close to downtown and University of Scranton. Hotel lobby is stunning, preserving the local history of the county. Hotel room was clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious. Great hotel with lots of dining choice. Internet was free and fast. A real gem. Will stay there again.

Nice location with possibilities

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Physically there are woderful things here.
Cons: Pay attention to detail.
Location: Centrally located. There's a great texas weiner place a block away.
One lamp was inop. Could hear next room through divider doors. Sounds from another shower were very loud. Overlooked a damaged item on the roof. Charging $5 for parking seemed to be a bit of a rip.

Terrible air conditioning

Posted Jul 24, 2014
Air conditioner never cooled the room and the beds were lumpy. The restaurant was excellent though. Staff very nice. Old place and we paid more on expedia than my cousin who called and made the reservation direct.

Nice hotel and close to the court houses

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: seemed like the furniture was scratched up
Location: Kildare's, an Irish Pub, was right across the street and a nice place -- looked like it was convenient to about everything downtown
I stayed there just one night and it was a very nice hotel, the staff was great, and the hotel was very convenient (walking distance), from the federal building where I had business to take care of -- the shuttle to the airport was an added bonus and much nicer than a $34 cab ride.

Loved the history!

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: We loved the history and architecture.
Cons: Our room was right outside the ice machine. Every night someone on our floor needed ice at 5:00am.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff was pleasant. One of the waitresses, Barb, was knowledgeable about the history of the hotel.
