Quiet and Comfortable

Posted May 27, 2015
Pros: Privacy and the bed was amazing!!!
Cons: Maybe the cleaning, there were some cobwebs in the corner nothing major.
Location: It is right next door to an amazing restaurant called Damon's. The food was spectacular and so were the martini's!!
The only issue I had with this hotel was the fact that they kept "authorizing" payments on my card for the amount of my room. It happened twice, once the manager came in she took care of it and I got my money back. But it took two days and there were two charges. Other than that the room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly I would stay there again.

Clean no-frills spot

Posted May 18, 2015
Cons: Walls were a little thin. Parking sufficient but not well laid out.
Location: JJ Bridjes restaurant had excellent food and is practically across the street.
We had no issues with our stay here. The staff was polite, it was clean and comfortable enough for what we needed this trip, and the breakfast room was right across from us. Damons was good for dinner and you got a 10% hotel discount. If you're just looking for something functional and not luxurious, this place was fine. They allow pets and we had a dog that barked a bit in a nearby room, didn't bother us as we are used to animals but be aware this could happen.

Nice Hotel

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Cons: A bit of older hotel odour when you first arrive.
Location: Sports bar next door with good basic food and friendly staff. 10% off If you are from hotel.
Beds were a bit firm. Carpet could have been cleaner. Flat screen TV ok. For $105 CDN it was just OK . It was quiet. The price included continental breakfast well laid out and included juice coffee bagels waffle machine and cereal. Friendly staff.

nice family hotel

Posted Mar 8, 2015
Pros: hotel smelled good, looked clean, staff was friendly
Cons: cleaners should double check room cleaniness
Location: stayed in room and swam in pool
Everything was good except dried urine on bathroom toilet seat. Whoops, guess the cleaning person forgot to check the toilet!

Only redeeming quality of hotel: excellent bed

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Only the bed!
Cons: Everything except the bed!
Let me first say, the bed was excellent and comfortable! Having said that, the rest was disappointing, to say the very least. The smell in the lobby hits you in the face--it is the unmistakable smell of gas fumes. Very nauseating! The rest of the hotel simply smells as if the heavy chemicals are covering up decades of smoke. Very unpleasing. We purposely booked this hotel for its indoor pool and its complimentary breakfast. The pool was out of service--and we were not let know this before our arrival (or at booking time, which is when we should absolutely have been notified of this). The breakfast was basically toast or bagels, juice, and some raw fruit (apples and bananas only). There was no protein at all. The fitness room was a regular, small hotel room containing an elliptical, a treadmill, and a bike, plus a set of 10 lb. weights. Again, very disappointing. One final complaint is that the heater unit, while keeping the room warm, sounded like a truck using its jake breaks. Each time it kicked on in the night, we about jumped out of the bed. Oh, almost forgot! Had very inconsistent hot water for showering, and second morning had no hot water at all. Sorry for the terrible review--we have NEVER left a negative review--but had to be honest. We booked for two nights and almost cancelled for the second night. Ended up staying since at least the bed was comfy. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice hotel outside of Scranton

Posted Feb 17, 2015 on Hotels.com
We had to stay over for a volleyball tournament in Scranton and chose the Ramada Clarks Summit. This hotel met our needs for a stopover and the pool was actually very nice with a deep end at 9ft. Breakfast was average, bagels, muffins, yogurt, cereal and waffles. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. All in all a pleasant stay.

Perfect overnight for us.

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Amenities and breakfast.
Cons: Having a back that like special treatment, I would have liked to have a more comfortable chair than the one we had.
We needed an overnight stay on a trip from the Corning, NY area to our home in central NJ. Since we were familiar with Clarks Summit we decided to stay in that area. We found the Ramada and gave it a chance. We were pleased with our stay.
