Luxurious, secluded getawayPosted Oct 12, 2013
Pros: View from the infinity pool..swim up bar, live music and wonderful room.
Cons: Some restaurants and facilities were not open either do to the season. Meal prices extremely high. Too many stairs!
Location: Private island feel, so activities are through the hotel. Marina for boating, swimming, paddle boarding, snorkling, scuba diving & hiking
My husband and I had never been to BVI. The purpose of our visit was to take out a sailing yacht that we were thinking of purchasing and tour the islands. We then wanted some "down time" to relax and unwind. Not only was the hotel, room, marina, pools and food wonderful at Scrub Island...the staff went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were taken care of. Nothing like having your own ferry ride from Tortola to the island and being greeted at the dock by a smile and a rum drink. Can't wait to go back!

Everything is good except for...Posted May 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
No good beaches on island and you have to take a boat everyday back and forth to get food or to do anything basically. However, I believe overall this resort is definitely worth the stay and on good weather sunshine days its pier looks stunning with crystal clear blue water, rates are kinda high but you get what you pay for, we will for sure go back there again.

5 star resort with 5 star employee's.Posted Jul 1, 2012
Pros: Location and the service.
Cons: Couldn't stay longer.
Location: Great beaches, nice marina, in the middle of a circle of Islands, beautiful.
After a week of sailing, we went to Scrub Island Resort and really relaxed, but the people are the reason we will be back.

Scrub Island March 2012Posted Mar 22, 2012 on Hotels.com
Beautiful hotel. Probably the nicest one we saw in BVI. But the food is crazy expensive (and I say this recognizing that food in restaurants is generally costly in BVI. This was just over the top expensive). And mediocre too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were great. First class in that respect.

Beautiful resort, excellent staff.Posted Oct 12, 2011
We just returned from a fabulous stay at Scrub Island. The resort is beautiful, especially the isolated north beach. We felt like we were on our own private island. Our 8 year old son loved the slide at the main pool. Diamond Reef, a short kayak from the resort, provides excellent snorkeling. The reef is very active with huge fan and elkhorn coral.

We were completely happy at Scrub Island and we didn't want to leave after 3 days! This place is trully an oasis for boaters and land-lovers alike. The staff were fully accomodating as well. We will definitely come back.

NOT IMPRESSEDPosted Jan 31, 2011
Scrub Island Resort was a disaster for us. We have never had a worse experience on a trip. In June, we booked 4 days and left due to jack hammering and other noisy construction and terrible service. Scrub Island Resort promised us everything would be completed before November, so we returned in December with clients and friends. Once again they were pounding away at a deck directly outside of our unit, sawing concrete and jack hammering in the morning and throughout the day. None of our groceries were delivered, so we had to eat out every meal. Most of the dishes and silverware was missing from the unit. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. The service was unbelievably slow everywhere. Every food order was wrong. At lunch, a worker was urinating in front of our wives and children. Another worker was urinating beside the walkway on the way to the beach. All of the wine was served warm. We were told there was no room service by 3 staff members on the phone until the 4th said there is room service. The beach bar was promised to be a full scale restaurant when we left in June. When we arrived in December, it was nothing but a limited bar. The beach looks like a war zone. The swimming pool water slide surface was exposed concrete and ripped the children's bathing suits and scraped their backs. There were no towels at the pool or beach. The pool restrooms were filthy. The bar tenders have no silver tequilas. The wine list has no years listed. The operators frequently didn't
