Love the cabin feel!Posted Jul 21, 2014
Nice sized rooms with extremely comfy bed. Bathroom was pristine and nicely decorated. There was a mix up with the double bed rooms, so they gave us 2 rooms for the price of one!

Would not Recommend...Posted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: Beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water.
Cons: More sound-proofing in the walls as the traffic noise is quite loud.
Location: We were spending the weekend visiting the Owl's Head Museum and Auction in Owl's Head, Maine.
Staff was unable to supply a second key for our room. Remote for the CRT TV didn't work in the main room. We couldn't find a remote for the LCD TV in the bedroom so, we were unable to even turn it on. Traffic noise on Route 1 was audible all night long even with the air conditioner running all night. Restaurant didn't open until 11AM so we had to drive into town for breakfast.

Poor Wi-Fi.Posted Aug 6, 2013
Poor wi-fi. Pull-out queen sofa bed was very uncomfortable, was not firm and no back support at all. It was impossible to sleep.

Awful! :-(Posted Jul 12, 2013
Cons: a 24 hour clerk in the office
I called for a reservation from about 20 miles away. I was connected with someone in the Philippines that almost spoke English. Paid with a credit card. Upon arrival, no one was there to admit the guest. Another guest gave us a number to call, then the local police came to admit us. This is not the way to run a motel. The worst!

Norman not there.Posted Jul 11, 2013
Location: Flea marker mecca of the Maine coast!
Clean and efficient. Convenient location. Pay at the restaurant next door, which was strange, but quaint. No AC in the room. Front window does not open. Not an issue for me when I stayed, but could be uncomfortable on a hot summer night.

Good stopoverPosted Jul 5, 2013
The room had great linens and was updated, but the room smelled like cigarette smoke and did not go away while we were there. However, we also did not request a new room.

Home away from homePosted Mar 1, 2013
Pros: Very comfortable bed. High standard furnishings, a pleasant surprise when you walk into the room.
Location: On the main road but surprisingly quiet. Noise was not a factor - had a great night's sleep!
This is a side- of- the- highway hotel but it was very homely, impeccably clean and well kept. You could tell that they take pride in the standard of their rooms. It was a very comfortable room just what we needed after being on the road all day.

As nice and clean as it is small and inexpensivePosted Oct 16, 2012
Pros: Low cost option, but still very clean and well equipped
Cons: Rather isolated location
Location: Not close to much of anything
This is a well kept example of the tiny motels that are so popular in Maine. The room was very small but also clean with great bedding and a modern bathroom. The shower was superb. Everything was in good condition. There's an eatery next door, but otherwise there's not much around without a non-trivial drive.
