Good hotel.. Great small boutique style for mini vacations..!! Only negative is that there is no parking and u got to pay for the valet.. But still overall, great hotel.. The beds are super comfy and rooms are vintage yet modern and well maintained.!!!

Upon arrival, we eere upgraded to a suite for no additional charge!!! Great location (twelve blocks from Pike Place) and a beautiful building. Comfortable, luxury feel for less money than similar hotels. Would love to stay here again.

There maybe better, more expensive places to stay for my taste, but I haven't found them yet.

Great location wonderful vintage charm

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: The location to where I needed to be was perfect.
Cons: The AC units in the room need to be modernized
Location: There are many places to eat near by and everything is very walkable or a short Uber/Lyft ride away
The hotel was clean, well kept and very nice. You could not ask for a better location in the area with old charm feel. The only downfall of this hotel is that the room's AC units are very old and do not cool down the room that well. The front desk sent up a fan to circulate the air and opening the windows did help bring the temps down. It did not help that the city temps were higher then usual, which was what I was trying to get away from at home. Overall this was a fantastic hotel and I would stay here again.

A Gem!

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: The awesome staff, the fabulous beds, the historic feel of the hotel, the location...
We love this hotel! The building is historic but the rooms are fully modernized with beds that feel like a cloud & spotless marble bathrooms. The hotel staff is FABULOUS and met our every need. We will definitely make Hotel Sorrento our home away from home when visiting our daughter.

Not a 4 star hotel

Posted Jun 26, 2015
Pros: The receptionist at the desk was nice and the bed was comfortable. Those were the only two things we liked about this hotel.
Cons: I have tried contacting the hotel for a refund or a partial refund and got no response. They need to improve their customer service and get new carpet
Location: Elliot Bay. Pike Place Market. The Seattle ferris wheel
My boyfriend and I booked all of our hotels for our Oregon Coast road trip online using expedia.ca and were only disappointed with our first stop of the trip, our stay at the Hotel Sorrento in Seattle. First of all, when booking our hotels, because we live in Canada, we made sure to convert the prices from the Canadian dollar to the USD so that there would be no surprises when we got our credit card bill. This worked for all of our bookings except for Hotel Sorrento (and we did not know this until we viewed our credit card statement after the trip). When we booked the Hotel Sorrento we thought we were paying $240 in total, which is very expensive for us, however we kept in mind it was a Saturday night in downtown Seattle. Wrong. When we arrived at the hotel I was so turned off by the very strong smell of urine in the lobby, my boyfriend assured me this was just a "old musky" smell. The carpets in the hallways made it very stinky. Thankfully our room did not smell. We walked from our hotel down to Elliot Bay and Pike Place market, when we took a cab back to our hotel our cab driver informed us Hotel Sorrento was not a part of downtown Seattle. We were upset to find this out because for the price we paid we expected a hotel downtown. Now, I know this is not the hotels fault, however, having returned from our trip our statement read $338 chard from Hotel Sorrento. I have emailed the hotel twice and left a voicemail and heard nothing back from them, I would like a full refund.

Yesteryear charm with modern updates

Posted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: This is a beautiful historic hotel, with great service and personnel. Truly a 4-star experience in a relaxing environment. Old World charm to enjoy.
Cons: The hotel lacks views of the Puget Sound or the Seattle skyline; all can be easily experienced from a short trek, bring your walking shoes, has hills.
Location: Pike's Market, Shopping, Dining, Space Needle, Waterfront Shops and restaurants, Baseball & Football stadiums are close, Whale watching trips, etc.
This hotel provides a look back to an earlier era with its beautiful woodwork and style dating back to 1909, yet provides modern amenities that we all expect. Sitting above the Seattle business district, it is easily within walking distance to everything you would hope to see in the Seattle Convention Center area, including shops, restaurants, entertainment, etc. The staff at Hotel Sorrento is very accommodating, and provide full service from the Door personnel at the entrance , and Desk personnel who gave us valuable information on sightseeing opportunities, to the service staff that have ice at your door upon request. Meals in the outdoor restaurant we magnificent, and the weather during our stay was perfect. If you enjoy B&B service and comfort, I believe you will find the Hotel Sorrento to your liking.

Charming boutique hotel on outskirts of downtown

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Location: Location was OK, about a mile walk from Pike's Place Market - several hills. Hospital near by so not many 'tourist' spots - bar, restaurants.
Charming boutique hotel with a european flavor. Smaller, but very comfortable rooms. Lovely bar with charming bartender. Very helpful and personable staff. It is about a mile from Pike's Place Market with a few hills in between.
