Not what I expected for $700 a night.

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the doormen.
Cons: The room needs attention to detail so when guests are paying for a room for $700 a night, it feels like a $700 per night stay.
Location: It was a bit far walking distance to the Pier, and to the main shopping area in the heart of the city.
I wanted a room for 3 adults. I chose this room because it was spacious, and indicated it had a city view - for $700 a night, I assumed the room would be flawless, and their would actually be a 'city view". The room was not flawless; the bathroom appeared to need repairs and some new paint. It was a bit dingy. The kitchen area and cupboards were disappointing. The sink was small and out of place for the large counter (too large in fact), and the cupboards were in desperate need of paint inside, at least those that could be opened. The room itself was on the 2nd floor, and the "view" was an office building across the back alley. Very disappointing.

Close to pike place market, light rail & shopping.

We stayed 4 nights in Alexis hotel, Room 541 with Puget Sound view is really beautiful. We had a very Pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful. Concierge recommended some really nice restaurants: we tried Ivers and Elliott's on the waterfront. Easy to walk every where, especially pike place market.

Very nice hotel. Very nice staff. Nice friendly bar. Free Starbucks coffee and papers every morning. Breakfast options and wait staff a bit lacking.

Embodiment of customer service...

I can not say enough wonderful things about the staff of this hotel. We had a number of us in several rooms and others in hotels close by. The Alexis became the main hotel solely due to the top notch customer service. From Amanda at the front desk to Brooks the night doorman, and truly every other team member we encountered. I have never dealt with such amazing customer service. Definitely will always use this hotel whenever we are in Seattle. Thank you!

beautiful hotel, albeit expensive

Posted Mar 21, 2014
Pros: the room was amazing, the hotel itself was beautiful
Cons: only thing we could find to complain about was that hotel staff insisted that the key problem was our fault bc we somehow didnt know how to use a key
Location: right smack in downtown, near everything! except the airport 30 min train ride away.
Gorgeous hotel! we stayed in the fireplace suite and it was way bigger than we expected! the hotel wouldnt let us check in early and when we finally got up to our room the room key wouldnt work. So my boyfriend went back downstairs to tell the desk and they told him that he must have been using them wrong. when he tried a second time and they didnt work, i was a little irritated that the staff hadn't come up yet to see the door itself. finally on the third try the manager came up and confirmed the problem. the room was amazing and huge!

GREAT STAFF, EXPENSIVE PARKING

Posted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: staff, decor, location
Cons: parking fees
Location: pike place, great wheel, shopping, food, bars
My husband and I stayed here for the weekend of our anniversary. The hotel staff was consistently friendly, professional, and ready to help us with anything we needed. It was a bit of a shock however that when we arrived and had our vehicle parked that they charged 42 dollars for parking... That seemed a little steep. The room we stayed in was very clean and well decorated although much smaller appearing than what it looked like in the photos online. Not the most comfortable bed, but not the worst either. The bathroom was also beautifully designed, but it was a bummer that there was no counter space for doing my hair and makeup in the morning. The location of this hotel is very centrally located to the attractions that Seattle has to offer. You are walking distance to Pike Place market, great shopping, and TONS of places to eat/drink.
