Always will return because of staff-

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: The staff are always friendly and welcoming- the breakfast is very nice-
Cons: I would like Laundry facility's on site-
We have to come to Seattle every 6 mo because of medical. This is our #1 place to staff by choice. The staff make this place what it is, comfortable, safe friendly place to stay. AT ANOTHER HOTEL AT NORTHGATE- A month ago we had to stay in Norhgate area and we actually had someone use a key card at 2:57AM over and over, we called front desk 3 times, the front desk said they "...would look into it and get back to us". The front desk never called us back. The 2 people attempting to enter our room were successful in opening our hotel room door upon the 4th try, the latch prevented them from entering. Over the next 3 days we asked to talk to the manager over and over even left a message, but she never returned our call. Best Western Executel- WE FEEL SAFE, WELCOMED

Great Service - Funny smell in room

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: Breakfast was great
Cons: Pool was closed Sunday morning - we didn't get to swim.
Location: Location wasn't bad - about 30-40 min one way to the Seattle Center. There;s a lot of road construction downtown - a little challenging at times.
The staff gave excellent service! The breakfast was great. The room had a funny odor, so we left the window open most of the time and even the door some of the time to air it out. For the money, it was okay. I might stay there again considering how expensive the downtown hotels are.

Good Hotel

Posted Sep 14, 2014
We were very happy with this hotel and its staff. When we arrived, they were very helpful informing us about their shuttle service to the airport and restaurants in the area. We wound up eating dinner in their restaurant and their pizza was good. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel as we had a very early flight. The shuttle came on time to pick us up, and the airport wasn't far away.

Great for the Price

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: More staff of duty in the late evening. No funny smell in the room.
Location: Convenient to I-5 and to the airport.
Booked at the last moment through expedia.ca, the room rate was unbeatable. When we arrived at 23.30 by car, they did not have any rooms with two beds (as booked), but put us instead in a suite with a queen bed a sofa bed. Except that there was no bedding provided for the latter! After we complained, the reception person gave us the bedding to carry back to our room (in a faraway part of the building).Unfortunately, the room smelled strongly of something we could not agree on what it was--cat urine (according to my daughter) or an insecticide (my version). Felt too tired to go complain again, just slept there for one night before the flight. The breakfast was very filling, lots of items, buffet-style. Parking is plentiful. Beware that you WILL be awaken early in the morning by the sound of the aircraft taking off and landing. Overall, an okay airport hotel for one night -- providing that you get a rate as low as we did (with the hotel's name revealed after the purchase).

Excellent airport/cruise port hotel

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Area shuttle, willingness to provide assistance for any request, water and coffee avail. In the lobby.
Cons: Could be updated in the restaurant and bar area
Location: Light rail close by provides easy access to downtown Seattle
After arriving from a 6 hr flight it was a pleasure to arrive at this hotel where the staff went out if their way to accommodate our every need. They are very knowledgeable of the area and what is available. The front desk clerk or maybe manager Glen made our visit very comfortable.

The wing we were in had had some water problems and they had done some plumbing work. The water faucet in the shower was almost impossible to turn on. When I was finally able to wrestle it on, it sprayed me with cold water and I fell and bruised my leg terribly. Our second stay we were put in an area where there was a steep incline and almost impossible to push the luggage rack up the slope. Going down the other side wasn't much of a picnic either. I was so disappointed in both rooms. I don't plan to stay there again. We had been staying there for many years but it has just so deteriorated that it wasn't good any more. The price was $100 dollars more per night than any place we stayed on our two and half week visit.
