“A good place to stay but can't wait for renovations!!”

The staff at the Carlton Inn were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room was older and needed upgrading, the staff said they were in process of doing that. The beds were horribly uncomfortable!!! This is the most important thing for me in staying at a hotel/motel and the beds were completely uncomfortable! It was like sleeping on the floor! I hope when they renovate they choose good quality beds that will allow their future guests a good nights rest!

“We'd go back”

The hotel breakfast was quite expensive and not very good. We ate at Denny's across the street. The pool did not appear to be open. The pool was not clean and the furniture was stacked and/or not clean enough to sit on in early July.

“Nice, very quiet hotel.”

The Carlton Totem Lake is a nice, clean hotel. The most notable positive feature was how quiet it was! That is a big plus when one wants to rest. The staff was friendly, helpful and took good care of us. Though there appeared to be some "deferred maintenance" issues...ie...paint and trim, we would give the hotel an overall rating (our scale) of 2.5. We would stay there again.

“Kirkland hotel by the marsh walk”

The hotel was clean and comfortable and convenient. Not only was it convenient to freeways, but there were shops and restaurants and a movie theater nearby. There was a walking trail that circled through a marshy area that had interesting plants and animals.

close to hospice and hospital that we needed, will be really nice once renovations are done, rooms quiet.

Stayed here during a business trip. Close to highway, free internet, good room, great experience for the money. Did not have a chance to enjoy their birdwatching. Hotel serves no breakfast, just coffee and cookies. Denny's is in the walking distance, offers 15% discount with the hotel stay. There is a local bar next door, but I did not check them out.

upon arrival, the front desk employees were very helpful and polite. the first room we were given has a peculiar smell and exchanged rooms with no problems. The second room was nice, but the maid kept forgetting to replace all the towels every day. The front desk employee on duty was very accomodating in providing us with the towels, but we had to ask for them every day.

It's a quiet place, and that was nice. Felt like it had seen better times. There was a leak in the roof in the lobby and it was clear that not many people were staying there. The WiFi was adequate, but once I had to ask they reboot their router. The room was large and had plenty of electrical outlets, but they were so old that nothing would stay plugged in. I reported this and was told that a renovation was pending that will freshen up all the rooms. Great location if you are going to Evergreen Hospital, and the drive to Microsoft isn't bad at all. The staff was uniformly wonderful and very pleasant. Overall thought it was a great value.

“Great Affordable Hotel near Woodinville wineries”

This was a great option for us when we wanted to check out the wineries, distilleries, breweries and restaurants in Woodinville but didn't want to spend a fortune. It was literally minutes from Wine Country and was easy to check in and out.

“Great location near wetlands”

In its day, this was a beautiful hotel in a quiet location. It overlooks a wetlands in Kirkland, which is superb. The hotel is in need of face lift and the rooms look a bit tired and overused. But they are clean and good enough for a hotel in this price range. We had a bit of trouble with noise on Saturday night, from a TV in a neighboring room and a band playing at the nearby tavern. But few hotels in this price range are noise-proof so we live with it. The staff was gracious and offered to switch rooms, but it wasn't necessary.
