Basic yet still fall short of expectations

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: WIfi
Cons: Keep to your promises!
10 days stay. Was told there there is only housekeeping once per week. Asked which day I like to have that done. I replied Monday. Hotel staff at reception promptly wrote that down and was very reassuring about te room being cleaned on Monday. Expecting some cleaning services to be done on Monday but not peep. As I was going out early each morning and coming back late every evening, I did not bother to kick up a fuss. Plus cannot find anyone at the front desk most of the time early in the morning. Just asked for addition soap, towels etc. Had to stay there but was looking forward to the end of the stay. (like get me out of here!!!!)

You get what you pay for, mostly

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Free wi-fi, being able to do your laundry yourself
Cons: Nicer beds
Location: Botanic Garden is quite close. So's Best Buy, so you can choose between nature and commerce.
The Extended Stay isn't marketed as a posh, high-class establishment. The rooms are utilitarian, although you do get a kitchenette so you can cater for yourself if you want to. The bathrooms are unexciting, but not horrible. Location is ok - just by the freeway so it's easy to get there, but soundproofed well enough you're not disturbed by traffic. Staff all seem to be on their first job - enthusiastic, if a little inexperienced. Good: wi-fi is free. There's a coin-operated laundry, so you can clean all your clothes for less than ten dollars. (In other hotels in Bellevue I've paid upwards of 40 dollars to get a few shirts washed, and they'd charge me by the sock.) Bad: there's 'breakfast' for free in the lobby every morning, but it's nothing but some coffee, some packets of instant oatmeal, and some slightly unhappy looking fruit. You'd do better to avoid completely, in my opinion. Bed frames were incredibly hard. This isn't something most people will worry about, but our baby ran into the side of the bed and then howled with pain, left with a big red mark on her head for the rest of the week. If you're more than two feet tall and don't run around at random, unlikely to be an issue. Soundproofing: we could hear the next room's alarm go off every morning. If you're an early riser, I guess you won't mind that. We could also hear what sounded like a man in concrete boots stamping around the room above us every night. If you're an early riser, you might get enraged.

Good location

Posted Jul 13, 2014
It is a hotel room with facilities like an apartment. It has kitchen, along with pots/pans, mugs, utensils etc. We love the location as it is very close to downtown Bellevue and also not far from other malls like Factoria or Crossroads. We stayed there for 4 nights and it has been a good choice of accommodation for us while exploring Bellevue and Seattle.

Not especially convenient or pleasant location

Posted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: parking and wifi
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Good restaurants about a mile away
Room, parking and wifi were fine but the hotel lacked anything else. Breakfast was "carry out" sugar with little choice and little healthy food, not even any ordinary milk for the coffee. When we arrived the room was not even ready at 7pm!

The room did not have a phone. Even though most guests carry cell phones, a hotel room phone is important for security and communication with hotel staff. I had to go to the front desk in order to request or report any needs which included a remote for the room TV. None of these inconveniences were welcomed after traveling all day cross-county. I was told that a phone was "on order"; it never arrived during my four-day stay.

Not impressed

Posted Jun 15, 2014
Pros: The manager tried to smooth things over and was personable and nice.
Cons: Procedures in place to make sure that when a guest has a concern that the issue will be addressed in a timely manner.
Toilet was out of commission and no one was on site to come to fix it for about 2 hours. Answering service was rude and the comforter on the bed felt like cardboard.

Good outweighed the bad

The room was fine, but was lacking in supplies - no glasses, Kleenex, corkscrew. However, the desk clerk bent over backwards to return an item left in the room.

Pros: The staff were very helpful and courteous.
Room and property were okay but pretty basic..definitely need a car, only one restaurant around within walking distance. Very basic room amenities, no wake up service.
