Great hotel in the heart of Seattle

Posted Sep 12, 2014
We have had the opportunity to stay in one of the bay view rooms at this hotel for Christmas and we could not be more pleased. The hotel is within walking distance to Pike place market and all sorts of interesting local eateries and shops. The interiors of the hotel were well appointed and clean. The room was very spacious and had a central console where we could hook up our electronics to the room's AV system. The staff was attentive and accommodating. We ordered room service for Christmas since all the restaurants in the vicinity were completely booked, and it was excellent. There was a great selection of food prepared with local ingredients. This is definitely one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at.

Opulence, but lacks value.

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Value to me is price matches the experience. If a hotel exceeds the experience and price is lower it is the ultimate value. The Four Seasons Seattle lacks value for price. @ $400 a night minimum you're expecting something special, and sadly its average. Sure the hotel is an art gallery, premium amenities...but the key word is experience. Nothing they did was special, and at $400 you're expecting an experience. How can they make it one? Easy. Staff should be personalized, more detailed. Example was I asked about the Ferris Wheel cost, they didn't know on top of that it was unresolved when I asked...meaning I had to ask multiple people. St. Regis has a butler service. Four seasons need to add something that makes the customer come back than premium soap and free coffee.

Four Season Hotels are at the top of Heap

Pros: Location, service
Location: Pike fish market, wonderful restaurants, downtown shopping, art museum and the wharf.
The service from the bell man, reception, operator, room service maid service and private car service was the same: friendly, attentive, warm and sincere.

Pros: Rooms and view
Cons: Room and food priced a little lower
Location: Awsome location for shopping and dinning
Restaurant food was good but over priced. Hotel could have provided a later shuttle service. Everything else was great.
