I have stayed at several Grand Hyatt hotels and everyone of them have been great. The staff, rooms and locations are great.

Great hotel in a good part of downtownPosted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Generally a nice place to stay in a good location.
Cons: Room service menu was limited and not all that exciting.
Stayed there with my son while looking at colleges. We were able to walk to all of the various spots in downtown. The hotel was very clean, very nice, and overall very comfortable. It's not the nicest hotel I've stayed at or been to, but certainly a great option in the heart of Seattle.

Very nice hotel in downtown SeattlePosted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: I liked the location that was near to shops, restaurants &Pike Place Market. I also liked the friendly staff &that the hotel was very nice, clean&quiet
Location: The hotel is in downtown Seattle so we walked to Pike Place Market &also did some shopping. We went to a pretty park nearby on the water.
When we arrived around 3:00pm our room was not ready yet but the lady at the front desk was nice &went out of her way to give us a room with a view as quickly as she could. We sat in the lobby as we were tired and had some refreshing water with lemon they had and within 15 mins. the bellman took us up to our room. He was very nice and got ice for us and gave us suggestions about the area. The room was clean & nice and the bathroom was very large & very nice. The window opens which I like, as I like fresh cool air from outside instead of air conditioning. There is a Starbucks in the hotel. We had dinner at Athenian Seafood in Pike Place Market which was good and faces the water&was a short walk. We only stayed one night but I would recommend it to anyone.

Well located, lacking facilitiesPosted Jun 14, 2015
Modern hotel, with well presented rooms. Sadly lacking in not having a bar or breakfast buffet. Reception staff were very pleasant, however the Doorman caused me a difficult departure. When I was leaving, the Doorman was arguing with an angry yellow cab driver. It seemed to be about him not being offered "prime" jobs. I wanted to wait for another cab. The 2 men told me to put my bags in the back of the Crown Victoria, which ultimately I did. We drove about 4 minutes in silence, then the cabbie (angrily) announced that due to a road closure/detour I should get out here & walk the last 3 blocks. I handed over $10 for a $6.40 fare, he refused change, ultimately giving me $1 change, & some more abuse. This was not directly the Hyatt's fault but it was clear from the outset that the driver had a problem & should be avoided. I was handed over to him as a "sacrificial offering". This is not customer service, its just perpetuation of a petty empire.

Vacation in Seattle and general vicinityPosted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Great room and beds.
Cons: Expensive valet Parking
Location: Centrally located to many attractions. Seattle is a walking city. 20 to 25 minute walks to Pike Place, waterfront, fine stores and restaurants.
Very nice Hyatt Hotel close to all the Seattle attractions. Very nice room with great bathroom and beds. Hotel Staff was attentive and knew the area very well. Good restaurant recommendations. Only draw back was expensive Hotel valet parking. No other options nearby.

Honeymoon Journey - last day- disappointingPosted Jun 7, 2015
At the reception the staff was not very polite, seemed to be bored. My notice from the reservation, that we ask for a quiet room with view was totally ignored. So for me, the Service of Grand hyatt was disappointing. Booked a King size room with Weekend Special.

In the middle of everything!Posted Jun 6, 2015
Pros: Rooms were great, comfy beds and big TV's. The bathrooms were amazing and huge with big tubs and showers. Nice electronically controlled dark shades
Cons: To be fair, I'm one of those that runs their fingers over ledges, picture frames and other surfaces. Dusting of these areas could be improved.
We have never been in a city with more walkers, and the Grand Hyatt is in the middle of everything you could want to do. 10 minutes to Pike's Market, 5 minutes to the Duck Boats (a fun must) and the monorail to the Space Needle. Of course there is a Starbucks attached to the hotel and an awesome sushi place with a fun moving track - Blue C.
