Great Family Stay in SeattlePosted Aug 24, 2014
Just stayed here four nights with the kids for a "last of the summer" vacation. Very close to Seattle Center and all that is there to enjoy, including a beer festival and Beatles tribute concert while we were there. Nice bonus. We had heard the dome fountain was fun, but were skeptical. Ended up popular for us and the kids alike. Science Center, Chihuly Garden and of course Space Needle, all right there. Missed the EMP, but next time. We also caught the Emerald City hop on hop off tours right there which hauled us all around town, so only taxis were to and from the train station. While called the Hampton Downtown, it really is in lower Queen Anne and has a nice, clean, city residential neighborhood feel. We prefer busy touring in the day and nice quiet hotel at night and this hotel is perfect. Hands down, this staff was the friendliest and most helpful staff we have experienced in a very long time - from front desk to the breakfast area staff. Nice hot breakfast bar by the way. Our only surprise was no refrigerator in the room, but ended up not a big deal. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would go back in a heartbeat.

Near the Space NeedlePosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: it was quiet and clean
Cons: The room needed a frig and a bigger coffee maker.
Location: space needle, lake
The room was at the front of the hotel, but the road wasn't bad. The floor in the bathroom creaked, and the toilet was very loud when flushed. The room needed a frig and a bigger coffee maker.

Visiting a daughter in SeattlePosted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The nice staff.
Cons: Our bathroom door stuck and was difficult to open. A small fridge would have been nice.
Location: We walked to the Music Museum and the Space Needle. They were both very close. We also walked to Pike Place which took about 1/2 hour each way.
We visited our daughter who is going to school in Seattle and stayed at Hampton Inn for three nights. It was very pleasant and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were very close to several of the famous downtown locations. There was a large grocery store (QFC) one block south of our hotel. Parking was expensive.

Nice hotel close to Space Needle and Monorail.Posted Jul 23, 2014
From the moment we walked in to the lobby we felt welcome. The staff couldn't do enough for us, giving directions etc about what to see and do. The room was very comfortable, plenty of room and the bed divine. The bathroom had lots of space and a walk in shower, with plenty of towels and amenities. The breakfast was self serve and food good. We absolutely loved our 3 day stay!

Pros: Location. Everything we needed in room. Breakfast busy at times but cereal, fruit and cooked items available.
Cons: Good value.
Location: Space needle, Duck tour includes dip in Lake Union. Whale trip cancelled - sad! Ferry to Bainbridge good views. Gates Foundation. Underground tour.
Great trip to Seattle. Good location for Space needle and Seattle centre. Easy monorail to town.

Nice clean suites short walk to the seattle needlePosted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: Clean, tidy, modern interiors
Location: Close to monorail, seattle needle, music museum , bill & linda gates foundation and trolly stop
Good size suite for 5 adults, 2 mums and 3 young adult daughters, clean and tidy, modern interior. Staff very helpful and polite. Breakfast included with different hot food each morning. Supermarket right around the corner and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Minimal noise even though major road works are going on around the area. Convenient for us as close the areas of interest, we used the monorail and tram trolley tour for transport options. Reception staff always helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would stay there again and recommend it to family and friends.
