The Deca is a treat

Posted Nov 28, 2014
Pros: We love the feel of this hotel. The decor is lush and warm. Our view was fantastic from the 9th floor.
Location: The Deca is within walking distance of everything in the University District.
We love The District Lounge at the Deca. Delicious food and beverages and excellent staff. The Deca is our favorite place to stay near the University of Washington.

Great Hotel in U-District

Posted Nov 24, 2014
I attended an event near the stadium at UW on a game night. Even though I live in the Sesttle area, I booked this hotel in order to avoid traffic as the theater was just across the street. What a treat the evening was. Easy parking in the afternoon...good dinner in the hotel restaurant...and very short walk to the theater. Hotel is wonderful Art Deco design, comfortable and accommodating.

Great stay

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Had a great stay. However, it would be so nice to have a small microwave In our room. I'm sure that could cause bad smells if someone burns the pop corn. Or a small refer in the room. Thanks for the pleasant experience. Maybe a pleasant elevator sign to be mindful of loud conversation in hallways in the evening. Thanks. LeAnne

Convenient location

Posted Nov 22, 2014
This was my second time staying at this hotel and I've enjoyed my stay both times. However, this time I must have stayed in a room with an older bed/mattress as it was kind of hard and not comfortable to sleep on at all.

Staff was super helpful and friendly. The lobby furniture was a little dated but the room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Close to plenty of dining.

Posted Nov 6, 2014
Got there Sunday evening and it was a pretty quiet place. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants. About a 10-20 (depending on traffic) minute drive to downtown stadium area. I would stay here again, especially for how low of a price it was compared to other places.

Great location, beautiful decor.

Pros: 5 star staff in a 4 star hotel (no doorman, no bellman, no concierge, no spa, no all night food service).
Cons: I could hear the conversations of the other guests through the walls.
Location: Univ. of Washington.
Staff gave me a great recommendation for a total Seattle van tour which I loved.

Nice Hotel

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Good service.
Cons: Better breakfast / more information.
Location: Alright location, close to shops and restaurants, but at night the area is not the best.
The hotel is nice, the rooms are good and everything seems clean and in good shape. Good service. Only bad thing is that they told us breakfast where from 7 to noon, but the next morning when we expected a breakfast buffet, they only served breakfast in the bar for people over 21, and none of us where old enough or wanted to pay extra for a morning meal.

disappointing

Posted Oct 31, 2014
Pros: 2 of the housekeepers were very helpful. Unfortunately they weren't on my floor
Cons: EVERYTHING!!!
Location: THERE IS NO SHUTTLE SERVICE SO in case you want to go anywhere other than using a bus or walking add in cab fare.
If you want luxury The Hotel Deca isn't for you. Many services listed no longer exist and there were misleading photos when I booked the room. Also make sure you know EVERY INGREDIENT before tasting your food in case you're allergic in the "restaurant". There aren't any drawers either so a long stay is a major NO NO!!
