Fantastic Location

Posted May 14, 2015
This was a nice hotel with a great location in downtown Seattle. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We loved the free coffee in the morning and the free beer in the evening. The room, however, was a bit small, which was totally fine except for the bathroom. The toilet was awkwardly placed a bit too close to the sink and the shower was just too small. That would be my only criticism. I would stay here again and I would recommend this place to a friend but I would warn them about the bathroom situation. I'm not sure if all of the rooms are this way or if it was just because we stayed in one of the "mini" suites.

A short stay

Posted May 13, 2015
Cons: provide a receipt at checkout; small refrigerator would be nice in the smaller rooms; add a step down to the inside of the bathroom door
Location: 10 minute walk to Pike Place Market, will encounter a hill, but it is small. Lots to see in the area, drug stores are near by and buses, trains
Check in process was very easy. Room was small no refrigerator and it was very noisy during the day. The room faced the front of the Hotel. During the evening and night it was fairly quiet. You knew when it was time for work in the area :) The décor of the Hotel was very nice and different. The bathroom required you to step up to get into the toilet area. There should be a sign reminding you to step down on the way out....The shower was in the next little closet space it was very clean. Overall it was a very nice experience. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The elevators are a tad bit small but very nice. Lastly, the beer hour was great! it allowed me to meet some travelers form Calgary and have a long conversation about taking care of the elderly population. At check out I was not provided a receipt and had to ask for it to be mailed or emailed to me. Overall Great Stay for a short trip.

Convenient location!

This is our third stay here within the past four years. Love the convenience and excellent staff. There is a new restaurant that offers locally sourced food. Great food and service.

Small rooms but good location

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Excellent staff. Location is quite good.
Althought there wasn't anythng terrible about the hotel it was disappointing. The rooms were very small and hard to move around in for the two of us. The bathroom and shower reminded me of the shower on a cruise ship. The staff was excellent and the location good but I don't think I would stay here again. Also...it had a funky smell.

Cons: Elevators and HVAC units
Location: Convenient to LINK, Market, theaters, shopping, waterfront and museum.
Came to Seattle for the special exhibit at Seattle Art Museum. My hotel criteria was walkable location to the museum, Pike Place Market and waterfront at a reasonable cost for 2 nights. Hotel Max was convenient to the LINK Westlake Station and the attractions mentioned for a reasonable rate/night with all fees and taxes. That got me a boutique hotel experience for much less than many of the chains or other downtown hotels were charging. Downsides were micro-room & toilet, 2 slow (one out of commission part time) elevators and noisy window A/C-Heater unit or considerable street noise (9th floor). Upsides were staff, location, breakfast vouchers for nice restaurant next door, comfortable bedding and artsy ambience.

Close to everything

Posted Apr 19, 2015
The hotel is just blocks from all the major Seattle attractions like Pikes Place and the Space Needle. Also just down the street from all the shopping you'd ever want and great restaurants too. There were only two elevators however and the hotel staff use it too and not being able to take the stairs the entire way, stops at 2nd floor, was inconvenient. But the front desk is awesome when it comes to directions and answering questions. I'd def stay here again.

Location and chic

Location was in walking distance of everything! The hotel was a mix of retro and contemporary all in one. I enjoyed the beer hour and the $5 honor bar credit for being green friendly.

Great location - great hotel

Posted Apr 17, 2015
This is a historic hotel that has been totally renovated. Rooms are small but elegant and functional. Great location - only a few blocks from the monorail. Less than 10 minutes to Pike Market. Special treat of a craft beer in the afternoon and outstanding coffee in the morning.

Great place to stay.

Pros: The cafe/bar was nice. The rooms were very nice and well stocked with whatever was needed.
Cons: Nothing really. They do an excellent job.
Location: Close to everything downtown. Pikes. Shopping. And easy access to the freeway.
Had a good time. Staff was very good. Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The local beer happy hour was nice too. The Mariners could have been better. But, we are all used to that.
