Seattle Weekend

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: They did improvements in the lobby, bringing back the original wood floors apparently, and it is a wonderful space.
Cons: Our room seemed noisier than on earlier visits -- mainly the sound of large trucks going uphill on Madison.
Location: Great location, lots of great stuff nearby.
We've stayed at the Sorrento several times over the years. Booked the suite this time and enjoyed the added room.

Incredible gem of a hotel not to be missed.

Posted Apr 26, 2015
Pros: The room, the comfort, the restaurant and bar, the location, and the service.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Downtown and Pike Place is nearby.
This was the most incredible hotel I have ever stayed at in Seattle. The décor of the hotel is classic and very comfortable. The bar and restaurant are wonderful, and I love the mixologist at the bar and the fireplace. The live entertainment was incredible. The room is so comfortable and clean and the bed was simply lovely. Definitely a must stay.

Perfect For Me, But Not For Everyone

Posted Apr 24, 2015
Sorrento was ideal for someone like me who is willing to forego some modern conveniences in return for a more intimate experience. This historical building is beautiful, and the ownership has remained true to the period in which it was built. Potential downsides for some: Only 1 elevator; very old room heating system; not many amenities in the immediate vicinity (but many within an easy walk). Positives: Very efficient/helpful staff, beautiful lobby/lounge/bar; very comfortable room; free wireless that was actually functional. I will stay here on future trips.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, great food in lounge. The beds were a little on the softer side.
