1 bathroom exceedingly small 2 air conditioning was too cold. Maintenance could not turn off. Put space heater to reduce chill. 3 stayed 2 days. Room never made up even after request.

Very pleasant staff and nice clean modern room

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: see above
Cons: THE PUBLIC AREA IS VERY SMALL
Location: The hotel is very well positioned for exploring central Seattle and it is possible to walk to most attractions and the monorail
Everyone was very helpful and pleasant and the wine tasting was a very nice surprise

nice location, close to the monorail

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Nice location, very clean. They have a free wine tasting every evening, but we were not able to try it since we were never in the hotel at that time.
Cons: The shampoo/conditioner/body wash stuff was hard to use and ran out so we did not have any the last day. Adding drawers for clothes/
Location: It was about 6 very steep blocks from Puget Sound, Pike Place Market, the Aquarium, restaurants. Close to big department stores and specialty stores.
The room was nice but very small. There were no drawers to put clothes in. On the Expedia site, it said that WIFI was included. However, it was not included and the cost was about $14/day. I asked the front desk about the discrepancy and they said WIFI was included only for Kimpton club members. However, they gave me the code so that I could get free WIFI. I thought that was very nice.

Nice hotel in downtown Seattle

We stayed here for our recent trip to Seattle for labour day weekend. It was within walking distance of the pike place market, waterfront and downtown shopping.

Great Stay...not perfect.

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: staff
Location: Pier, Wharf, Convention Center, shopping.
Great staff, and well maintained modern hotel. Unfortunately, this American traveler expects larger rooms and comfortable furniture. The staffed provided a roll away which was tolerable. However, they have almost exclusively king rooms. The chairs are not comfortable. No other sitting furniture. Very few outlets for electronics. The bed itself was a 4 out of 5. I believe I would take a chance on another hotel for my next trip. Premium payments made on this "B " hotel.

Tasteful classic hotel

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: The hotel was calm and we felt comfortable and relaxed. The restaurant has nice food
Cons: no tea and coffee in the room but they offered to bring a coffee maker to the room for us. The hair dryer didn't work and had to be replaced.
Location: The hotel is in the business district but it isn't difficult to wander down the hill to Pike Place market which is fantastic.
The hotel is lovely and a bit old - world American in style. It has been renovated recently. The room was not huge but big enough. It was very clean, had lovely toiletries, had lovely decor and the bed was very comfortable. Beware of hitting your legs on the end of the bed which is very chunky. I ended up with huge bruises on both legs. The room was beautiful in decor but bad in design. The bathroom is right near the head of the bed so you can hear everything. We found the reception staff were very helpful and so were the men on the door who organised the luggage etc. Matt was the one who assisted us initially and he was very pleasant. One staff member deserves a special mention-Dee, the African American male staff member who was the most switched on, organised, and customer-focused, person there. He couldn't do enough to assist, whether it was getting a cab, offering information or helping with luggage. He really threw himself into his job and was so quick and knowledgeable.

Perfectly fine but worst of the Kimptons.

I guess what bothered me was that they use the "Vintage" motif as an excuse for no electrical outlets where you need them and lousey bathroom fixtures. No turndown service, no complimentary water in a $600 room? Hmmm. Pretty noisey from the nearby freeway. Very friendly staff.

Good location, pleasant staff, small rooms

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: friendly staff, clean and quiet accommodations.
Cons: The room, and bathroom, are somewhat small, considering the upscale price.
Location: Pioneer square area, and waterfront area, are within reasonable walking distance.
This is a good hotel for visiting downtown Seattle. It has been recently refurbished.
