Excellent hotel in downtown Seattle

Posted Nov 6, 2014
Pros: The atmosphere is very nice: calm, cosy. Clean and decent sized hotel rooms.
Cons: Having a TV remote in the room.
Location: Shopping, etc. is excellent in seattle downtown.
Great hotel - close to downtown seattle with shops, etc. Easy commute to Bellevue for work.

excellent downtown choice

Cons: flexibility on late checkoputs
We recently stayed at the hotel during a business trip to Seattle. The recently completed remodel has really livened the hotel. The staff and service were top notch. And, of course, the restaurant Tulio's is better than ever. We can't wait to go back. Tom1

Great central location in proximity to Pike market

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: See above.
Cons: Room lighting could be brighter. The tub/shower access was difficult without any handrail.
Location: The Market area, harbour, restaurants were convenient on foot or an inexpensive cab ride.
The hilly streets were a challenge to a couple of very senior seniors, but worth the effort. Staff very helpful with information and directions Wine evening social hour a real treat.

It was a great location!!

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: The staff were so helpful. We had a plugged toilet and before my husband got back to the room, the staff was there to unplug it. Great service!
Cons: Serve coffee all day!! We are not wine drinkers, but to have coffee past 900 am would have been so nice.
Location: The location was great and we ate next door at the cafe as it was a 1/4 of the price.
We had a great experience at the vintage. Would love to have coffee served all day or fresh water.

Cool Hotel

Posted Oct 4, 2014
Pros: Beautiful, great location.
Cons: Clothes storage and bathroom shelves. Brighter light.
Location: Great restaurants near by. Close to everything.
Great hotel in a great location. Beautiful rooms but not practical. No dressers to store clothes. Nice bathroom but small sink and almost no counter space. No shelves or hooks by the basin. Dim light over the basin, not enough to shave or apply make-up. Its design makes you live out of your suitcase and toilet kit.

Another great Kimpton experience. Easy walking distance to light rail for SeaTac airport access. Also close to all the downtown sites.

1 bathroom exceedingly small 2 air conditioning was too cold. Maintenance could not turn off. Put space heater to reduce chill. 3 stayed 2 days. Room never made up even after request.

Very pleasant staff and nice clean modern room

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: see above
Cons: THE PUBLIC AREA IS VERY SMALL
Location: The hotel is very well positioned for exploring central Seattle and it is possible to walk to most attractions and the monorail
Everyone was very helpful and pleasant and the wine tasting was a very nice surprise

nice location, close to the monorail

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Nice location, very clean. They have a free wine tasting every evening, but we were not able to try it since we were never in the hotel at that time.
Cons: The shampoo/conditioner/body wash stuff was hard to use and ran out so we did not have any the last day. Adding drawers for clothes/
Location: It was about 6 very steep blocks from Puget Sound, Pike Place Market, the Aquarium, restaurants. Close to big department stores and specialty stores.
The room was nice but very small. There were no drawers to put clothes in. On the Expedia site, it said that WIFI was included. However, it was not included and the cost was about $14/day. I asked the front desk about the discrepancy and they said WIFI was included only for Kimpton club members. However, they gave me the code so that I could get free WIFI. I thought that was very nice.

Nice hotel in downtown Seattle

We stayed here for our recent trip to Seattle for labour day weekend. It was within walking distance of the pike place market, waterfront and downtown shopping.
