Great location/price

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Location and price. Can't beat location for the price. Liked being next to Top Pot Donuts.
Cons: Maybe replace the table in the room with a small chair.
Location: Great location in downtown area. Can walk to Westlake Center, Pike Place Market, Pacific Center and all the activities in downtown.
Very basic hotel room in a great location. Able to walk almost everywhere downtown and close to Westlake transportation center. Room was very clean. No place to sit other than bed. Bed was comfortable. Older TV and remote didn't work. Let me check in early and check out late.

The hotel concierge was uninterested in us, which was fine... The room had a sort of, "this is the only hotel for the next four hours on the freeway, might as well stop," type feel. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. Paint was peeling, there was a hole in the wall. The place was clean, but, again, it still felt like a long forgotten mom-and-pop hotel in the middle of nowhere.

Pros: Location and easy, free/parking- The Westin on the same block charges $30/nite
Cons: Rooms are in need of serious updating
It is in a good part of downtown Seattle among fine hotels so l expected more. It is a motel not an inn and has no decor or design -mismatched curtains bedspreads, which makes it seem like your in a run down part of town. Room was basically clean, the staff was not bad, but had no interest in customer care.

Excellent location downtown. Walk to market.

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Location and FREE parking. Walk to Market and right in downtown. Most staff very nice and easy going. Really neat well preserved 60's motel.
Cons: Dead- bolt could lock from outside and thicker drapes to block out bright lights from walkway.
Location: 15 minute walk to Pike Street Market, 100' to the west is an excellent resteraunt. Boat and city cruises will pick up at this downtown location.
We booked on line with Expedia for a great price. When we arrived Sunday afternoon there was a rather surly middle aged Asian guy. Wouldn't take cash and wanted a $100.00 damage deposit. I finally just put the bill on Visa nad it was 91.32 with tax. Parked the car underground and took the stairs to our 3rd floor room. Coming back to the office the surly guy had gone and a really nice asian guy told me his cohort had just worked a long shift and needed some rest and apologised for his being so cranky. The room was a 60's motel room with early 60's tile etc. in the bathroom, very clean, recently painted, double bed with clean sheets. The door locked well from the inside with the door knob locking, a dead bolt, and a chain. Security was no problem inside the room, but when you'r out just the door knob locks. Could be a problem, but probably not as there is staff doing the rooms and an onsite carpenter and Mr. Fix-it in the garage in a small shop. There was a bit of late night hooting and hollering from a few resident drunks, but that can happen anywhere. Didn't try the wi-fi for the lap top, but the wall plugs worked to charge camera batteries and phone. Small T.V. on the dresser but was close so was fine with lots of channels. The location is perfect for a 15 minute walk to Pike street Market, and 100 feet to the west is Palace Kitchen Resteraunt with very good food. The manager/owner a soft spoken asian guy let us park our car there all day Monday. Good deal for the money.

Good Location, Awful Place

Posted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: Location was very close to a lot of things, parking was away from the street so I felt like my car was safe
Cons: The hotel needs updated and a deep cleaning, TV's are really old, the rooms smell and it is way overpriced for what you get
Location: 15 minute walk from the space needle, 10 minutes to a lot of shops and bars
The hotel was a great location to many of the things that we wanted to see, it is about a 15 minute walk to the space needle and by a lot of nice restaurants and bars. When I first got there I asked how much it would be for a room and he said a pretty high number, I had just looked up online that Expedia had it for much cheaper so I told him I would just book it on Expedia instead of paying that much. After booking through Expedia the front desk seemed irritated and we received a room that was pretty awful. When we walked around after viewing the other rooms since all the doors were open, they had new paint new covers, refrigerators, microwaves and coffee pots our room had none of that and seemed like the oldest room they had. Most of the outlets did not work either. Overall if you do not plan on being there and looking for a place to just crash, I would say it isn't so bad. We brought our own blankets and pillow.

Simply Inn

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: The perfect location
Cons: Do some renovation.
Location: walking to Pike Place or Space Needle and so on
The Inn itself was reasonably priced. It is across the 5th Ave and Lenora St, which is a plus if that is where you going to Pike Place or Space Needle and so on. Perfect location. The room is clean, but small. It is better to use the stairs with our luggage because only has an old elevator.

Horrible hotel, horrible managment

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Worst hotel ever to stay at, not worth the money. Altough it is located in the centre of Seattle. Your better off paying more money and getting a better hotel!!!! No parking here, and ur car is at high risk for getting broken into! No cameras in parking lot be cautious.

Pros: good location and price

convenient location

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: convenient location, moderate (or budget, depending on perspective) cost
Cons: the staff's knowledge of the area and bus routes.
Location: within walking distance are the Pike Street Market, Seattle Center (where the Space Needle and more are), shopping, and plenty of dining choices
Kings Inn is an oasis of a '50s era motel in a sea of both modern and historic buildings in downtown Seattle. Conveniently located to be able to walk to many places, it's a good budget option. Room is quite small, but updated and clean enough. The room had been renovated such that the air conditioning unit looked brand new and worked great for July's mid 80s temps.
