Adequate

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: It accepted dogs, and someone we were traveling with needed that service. Nice pool!
Cons: Definitely the breakfast service - stocking of food and cleaning up of spills. Better mechanical maintenance.
Location: We were there for a wedding, not sight seeing. I think people are pretty aware of what there is to do in Seattle.
The hotel is an older hotel, but adequate. Not everything was in good working order. For the first 24 hours or more only one of the two elevators was working. Several of the lamps in our room were not working. The most egregious lack was the breakfast service. Food items were not refilled in a timely manner, and spills were not promptly cleaned. It was overall under serviced. However, the hotel was basically clean and the beds worked - which is mostly what we were there for. Definitely expensive for the quality - but it's Seattle...

Great Room, Value Priced

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Location: The closness to Rt 5, the close proximity to Seattle and Everett, a walking / bike trail right out back, restaurants nearby everywhere. Exc location.
We're usually Marriott Hotels users but traveling on an extended vacation we decided to try and cut costs on the last day by choosing this hotel which was among the lower cost rooms listed on Expedia. My son's family uses this chain which added to my choosing. The hotel is and has been going through renovations and it appeared our room had been completed although work crews were on the floor in other rooms, albeit quietly. Everything was very like new in our room with like new paint. The staff at the counter, even the maids were very cordial and looking to please. Great value at any price.

Nice Hotel but could use some updating

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: The rooms on 5th floor seemed to have been updated recently and were nice.
Cons: The two main recommendations would be: 1) Update the lobby area as it does not match the update done in the rooms. 2) Replace or refurbish your el
Location: Don't know as I was there for business not pleasure.
This hotel worked well location wise and considering the US Open was taking place during our stay we were pleased with the rate.

Disappointment in Lynnwood

Posted Jun 4, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Housekeeping. Renovation is also needed, but that is apparently underway. Still, I am afraid it will be undone by poor management.
Location: We used this for a visit to Seattle.
I have not stayed at a La Quinta in years. Originally, the all new hotels gave good comfort and cleanliness for the money. Apparently, not so any more. Our party had 3 rooms, and 2 of them were unacceptably neglected. I found stains of questionable (fecal?) matter on the underside of the toilet seat in one room, and low down on the frontside of the toilet bowl in another. The door handle to one bathroom was coming apart (more than 1/4" away from the door), simply because the two screws holding it together were coming undone. There is no way that a conscious being could have opened that door and not noticed it. My room's entrance door had discoloring stains and grime, and even a drip stain (some liquid food) right by the handle. One of our other rooms had a highly visible white-colored stain on the upholstered red chair. Another room's phone would not ring when we called it. Of course, the carpet was showing its age, bubbling up here an there. I give management a pass on this last item, as our third room had good carpet and they are apparently undergoing some renovations. For the other items, management is clearly dropping the ball, not making clear to the staff exactly what it means to clean a room or to report problems that cannot be solved (e.g., screws on a door handle). The manager needs to watch an episode or two of "Hotel Impossible" before word gets out too far. As for us, we learned our lesson. No more LaQuinta Lynnwood.

comfortable beds

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Good location for shopping, and for zipping into seattle. Highway noise is loud on the one side of the hotel (if you have window open). Beds were comfortable, pool is nice size, staff were great

Convenient location, economical, being updated.

Posted May 27, 2015
Pros: Pet friendly and great pool.
Cons: Rooms are currently being updated. Hopefully rates won't go up too drastically.
Location: Convenient location, lots of parking, near a shopping mall and lots of restaurants.
Convenient location, lots of parking, staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good, but space for dining was small.

Convenient, good place to stay

Posted May 25, 2015
Staff were knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. Room was clean, beds comfortable. Dogs welcome. (People who can not clean up after their dogs are not welcome.) Sunday morning brunch was understaffed leaving many guests disgruntled. Overall a conveniently located, nice place to stay. We will stay there again.
