Awesome location and awesome staff

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: Location, Free Wi-Fi, Overall room, Staff and water in lobby
Cons: Better way to adjust room temperature.
Location: Pike's, Original Starbucks, A LOT OF SHOPPING, Aquarium, Seattle Museum of Art, Monorail which is a fast ride to the Seattle Center.
Great hotel stay. Location- awesome! 4 blocks from Pike's market, 2 blocks from monorail and Lite Rail, cabs easy to get if needed. Staff- Everyone we encountered was super helpful. I called a couple days in advance to request an early check in, they couldn't guarantee it (which I understood) but the front desk said if we needed we can store our bags until our room was ready. When we got there, we were able to check in 4 hours early. Frolik- Cute bar/lounge in hotel. Grabbed a drink, never tried the food. The place was a tad pricy, but standard for a hotel bar/lounge. Room- Excellent. We had a deluxe room which we didn't realize included a fridge. We had our 2 & 1/2 year old with us so the fridge was key. Our room was right next to the elevator, while you could occasionally hear the "ding" of the door opening, the noise was not intrusive. Beds were comfortable. Towels and robe were luscious. Also the room had a Keurig with more than enough K-cups which was awesome. Also, the water they had in the lobby was great. I loved the different ways they infused the water. Con- Room temperature. When we checked in, our room was freezing, so we turned the thermostat up. We went out for the day and after we came back it was like a boiler room. We kept adjusting the temperature down, but it never was just right. Finally on the last night we turned the whole thing off and it wasn't like being in an oven.

Nice hotel in downtown seattle, close to everything. Wis they were more flexible with their check in rules. Check in is just too late.

Business and Personal Stay

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Hotel conference space and catering was excellent. They went over and above my expectations. The location was perfect. Close to everything.
Cons: On-site restaurant had a great outdoor rooftop patio. However, the food options were limited, expensive and not great.
Location: Shopping, Pike's Market, Monorail to Seattle Center. Just perfect.
Attended a conference for a few days and then stayed on for personal travel. Great location. Everything is within walking distance.

Delightful Downtown Hotel

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: The convenient location, attractive decor, and friendly staff.
Cons: The elevators were a bit slow, and more parking spaces are needed for hotel guests.
Location: Central downtown near the Public Market, shopping, the monorail and other amenities.
We were very surprised and pleased by the high quality of the Motif Hotel. Our satisfaction was enhanced by the Expedia VIP room upgrade we received which provided a larger room with a wonderful view of the harbour and Public Market. We were also pleased with the hotel's easy to find downtown location and the accessible on-site underground parking. The recently refurbished modern decor of the hotel and of our room was very attractive and comfortable. The friendly and helpful staff also added to our positive experience. The central location of the hotel was very convenient for our purpose of attending a concert at the Paramount Theatre, which was only a short walk away. Similarly, the famous Public Market was within easy reach, as well as shopping and restaurants. We will definitely try to come back to this hotel on our next visit to Seattle.

Could be great.

Hotel seems long in the tooth. Elevators, in particular, are shabby. First impressions count and they are not doing a good job of it, but the room was clean and comfortable.

Great location in the middle of it all.

Pros: The hotel was very accommodating. We had 2 queen beds and 3 guys staying in the room so within 10 minutes, the staff brought an extra roll-away bed.
Location: close to the Pike Place Market, and many pubs and restaurants near by.
We were 3 guys in town for the Seahawks game so we were looking to explore the city and explore many different pubs and bars. We chose Motif Seattle because of the central location and it was within walking distance to everything. The hotel was clean, quiet, and the staff at the bar on the 5th level were a lot of fun.
