Expensive disappointmentPosted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Great view; comfortable room
Cons: Water pressure
Location: Everything, it's Seattle.
Motif was about the only hotel available when we needed 3 days in Seattle. We got through Expedia for an exorbitant price. Hotel was nearly full and we were near the top floor. Very low water pressure; not enough to take a shower. Staff didn't know what to do and was never fixed. Restaurant mediocre and pricey.

Great hotel with an awesome location.Posted Sep 9, 2014
Love the bar, outside patio with ping pong and shuffle board. Great location, close to pike market place. One block from the train and in the heart of some great stores. Would stay there again in a heart beat.

Hotel was clean and newPosted Sep 8, 2014
The hotel was lovely, great location. Room was average cleanliness. The hotel staff was helpful and responsive. I wish they had a valet. We received a complimentary upgrade. Our room was beautiful and the view was amazing.

Great location right in the shopping areaPosted Sep 8, 2014
Stayed here for 4 nights for a business trip. The location is excellent, close to shopping, transport links and Pike Place Market. The hotel has a really great cocktail bar with outdoor terrace. The only downside was the slow (but free) wi-fi access in the rooms.

Great location in Seattle. Very nice hotelPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nicely appointed and clean
Location: Central location close to Pike Place market and Monorail to Seattle Centre. Don't miss the Chihuly Museum and gardens at the Seattle Space needle!
In Seattle for a holiday. We toured the Pike Place market, and the Seattle Space needle and Chihuly Gardens and museum. The hotel was very central to the downtown area.

Never Stay AgainPosted Sep 5, 2014
I asked for an early check in and the staff said there is no immediate room available. So I checked my luggage in first and provided a credit card for insurance deposit. When I came back to check in the afternoon the staff asked for my credit card again for the insurance deposit. I told her that I already provided that this morning. She could not find it and ran my card again. Then I told her if they can bring my luggage to the room that had checked in earlier. She said okay. So I proceed to my room and waited about 20 minutes and no luggage was delivered. Therefore I called the front desk and the staff that helps me didn’t know anything or having any type of log on their system about my luggage. She asked me for the luggage checked in tag and I told her that I have provided that to her colleague. They were about to track it down and 10 minutes later my luggage showed up. As for the room its kind a small and I had the street view on the 4th floor and it was a bit noisy. This was the first time in a VERY LONG TIME that I was denied a late checkout from any hotel. I asked the staff why I could not have a late check-out. She said it’s all full. At this point I was like whatever and ready to leave this Hotel and never will recommend this to anyone. Also, the parking fee is $32 dollars and this is no valet. RIDICULIOUS! For around the same price I would recommend the MAYFLOWER PARK HOTEL, which I should have chosen but decide to stay here since I never stay at this hotel.

decent value for the pricePosted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: classy place all around.
Cons: nothing immediately springs to mind.
Location: it's about a mile or so from the seahawks, sounders and mariners stadiums and a 10 minute walk to the public market.
I picked to Motif because it was one of the most affordable 4 star hôtels in Seattle. the room was totally adequate and the view from the 16th floor onto elliott bay was very nice. it's everything I expected and the location is great and close to a lot of places you might want to go (public market, pro sports stadiums, etc.)

Great location downtownPosted Sep 5, 2014
I got a suspiciously great deal on this room, so I was expecting it to be less than great- but I was wrong! I only stayed for one night but the room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay for consecutive nights next time I am in Seattle.
