Long term stay and SERVICE!
Posted Jan 11, 2013
Had a slow drain, talked to desk clerk and it was taken care of by the time we got back that evening. Although housekeeping didn't service our room that day (they did the next). Nice breakfast. Very friendly staff.

Great value
Posted Jan 8, 2013
Location: Went to this great Greek restaurant just down the road at Willis and Central in Kent that was just great with very fair prices.
The staff was great, the room was very comfortable, the lobby had lots of places to relax and watch the big screen TV. they had a really good, substantial breakfast like eggs white and whole grain toast, two kinds of cereal, and a waffle maker to make fresh waffles, etc. I didn't feel like I had to go out to get a filling breakfast, it was all right there. The 3 on facilities was because of 4 fastening points on windows and other things were either broken or loose. The price was right, and because none of the facilities "dings" were safety issues, this hotel represented an exceptional value.

Very attentive staff
Posted Jan 3, 2013
Pros: All the amenities that were included in the room rate: pool, hot tub, sauna, gym area, breakfast, etc.
Cons: The smell of smoke as you entered the hotel. Smoking seemed to close or at least the ash trays were because you could still smell it in the lobby.
Location: Great location, easy access, next to gas station and blocks away from train station. Kent Valley Ice Center was close by too.
Staff was very attentive. I would have like to see a microwave in lobby for costumer use. Staff had to pop my popcorn for me and it was burnt. A little girl threw up in the hot tub and as soon as I told the front desk staff radioed for janitorial staff to clean up right away. Breakfast was great and lots to choose from.

Great hotel except for the unexplained charge
Posted Jan 30, 2013
Pros: The condition of the room and the quietness of our room
Cons: The unexplained charge on my account
Location: The location was a little difficult to find.
I have a $40.00 charge on my bank account from the hotel and I don't know what it's for. I was told there would be a $100 charge on hold for incidentals that would be removed when I checked out. I didn't use any extra services so there shouldn't be any other charge. Can you check into that for me?

Good hotel but noisy
Posted Jan 23, 2013
The railway is just steps away so we could hear every train passing by. If you don't like to wake up 2-3 times a night do not go there. But overall condition/service is almost perfect, nothing is wrong.

Not Close to anywhere
Posted Jan 10, 2013
The hotel was disappointing. The staff was unhelpful. They ended up charging my card by mistake for an item from their "store" and would not credit back. The room was dirty with trash under the air conditioner. I wish I would have had a trash bag to sleep in. I would never stay here again.

Great new hotel in Kent.
Posted Jan 1, 2013
Pros: The Pillow-Top beds and Large Flat Screen Tv.
Location: Just 1/2 mile to Kent Station where you will find plenty of good restaurants.
Nice new hotel in Kent. I chose this hotel as looking for a new hotel to stay in while on business in the area. I really like the location and the proximity to Kent Station which has good restaurants. I have always liked Red Lion Hotels and this one really exceeded my expecations. This hotel is a great new addition to the area and this is my top choice while in Kent as the other hotels in the area are tired.

Nicest Hotel in Kent. Literally everything is new.
Posted Jan 28, 2013
Pros: The pillow top beds, 37 inch flat screen tvs and the two drinks per night that I received complimentary.
Cons: nothing
Location: Located in the center of Kent close to my favorite restaurants at Kent stations.
I usually stay at a different hotel and I thought I would try out this new hotel in kent, wa. From the moment I walked in I knew this would be my new hotel for the weekly work trip to kent. The hotel is very welcoming and the staff was genuine. When I made it the room I was very impressed and really like the furniture and décor. The pillow-top was the best I might have ever slept on. Breakfast was great and the two free drinks per room, per night were a nice touch. The lady at the desk told me in the morning that the hotel underwent a total renovation and that everything in the hotel is new from the carpet to the beds. I am sure that everyone that stays here will be very pleased and be left to look to find other hotels as nice as this in their travels.

Run far run fast
Posted Jan 2, 2013
Pros: Room was clean
Cons: Everything else
Location: In between major highway and busy RR crossing.
The hotel was not up to the usual Red Lion standards I've become accustomed to. It looked like a "low end" hotel and was situated between a major highway and RR tracks. The highway noise wasn't too bad but every two hours a train came through and you couldn't miss it. When I first checked in my mini fridge was so loud I unplugged it and the next day requested a replacement of which they replaced with one equally as loud. They got it right on the third try. Also each evening my 3rd floor room shook as if I was in a earth quake rattling the door on the cabinet where the mini fridge was. The first night I was on the phone with my wife, from CA, and she said "your in an earth quake go out in the hall. The front desk had no explanation other than a first floor washing machine..... IF I hadn't prepaid I would have never checked in or left after the first night. I would NOT recommend!!
