short visit to seattle

Posted Oct 31, 2014
Pros: see above
Cons: only the weather - it rained most of the time - but we still enjoyed it.
Location: everything was within walking distance, shops, restaurants, transportation, sight seeing etc.
the trip was excellent and the hotel was great with the location close to the light rail made it more enjoyable. the staff from desk clerk to maid were very nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean and top notch. We stayed for 3 days, visited friends and then we decided to go back to the same hotel for another 3 days as we enjoyed it and the city. Easy to morning coffee and bagels one block away, light rail 5 blocks away, and everything else with in walking distance.

Great Location

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Comfort, location, valet service.
Cons: Long lines during peak check in times
Location: Shopping and all sorts of restaurants are steps away. The convention center is just outside the door where you can catch a shuttle to Eastern WA.
Such a perfect location if you want to have access to all of the downtown stores. Always stay here!

Charging eleven dollars a day for internet is petty at best.

Beautiful, perfect location, tiny bathroom!

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Location, elegant lobby, attentive staff.
Cons: Improve the bathrooms with better shower heads and bathroom toiletries. Provide option for softer blankets, or softer duvet cover.
Location: Pike's Place is a short 5 block walk, plenty of shopping, monorail also a close walk.
The hotel itself is located in the best possible area if you want to explore Downtown Seattle. Pike's Place is 5 short blocks away, and you have quick and easy access to the monorail. The hotel lobby is very elegant and classy with comfortable chairs, warm colors, and encased glass sculptures. The staff was very friendly, whether you need help hailing a cab or need the Bell Desk attendants to hold on to your luggage. The room itself was very nice, but didn't quite live up the expectations set from the beautiful lobby. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable, for example. The mattress was a bit firmer than I would usually like, and it didn't feel like there was a pillow top. That in itself is forgivable but the comforter/duvet was so loud! Every time either I or my partner would move in the bed, the sheets were very loud and crunchy. He remarked it was like "sleeping in a paper bag." The other disappointment was that the bathroom was very small, probably one of the smallest bathrooms I've ever seen. The water pressure from the shower head was nil, so much so that the towel rack is actually inside the shower. They do not include many toiletries at all, just the bare minimum of bar soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. I've come to expect things like a shower cap and Q-tips at least. After a day in the rain, I would hope to have a luxurious shower but that was not the case here. All in all, I would stay here again because the location for this price.

Wanted a room with two double beds. When I booked it was listed as: "one king or two doubles." I there were no doubles available and I slept on a small wheeled in cot...

No hot tub

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Have stayed at this hotel at least once a year for the past 20 years - last visit, discovered to my diassapointment that the hot tub was tiled over. The hotel is great however without a hot tub it is no longer a 4/5 star hotel and with a young family who enjoy the pool and hot tub - not having a hot tub is a deal breaker and we won't be staying there any more. Unfortunate.

Great. Good location, close to the light-link rail station. Just a few minutes from Pike's Market.
