Pros: We got a large room although we had made the reservation wrongly on the next day. The staff was friendly but could not do much more than that.
Cons: A complete renovation of this hotel seems necessary.
Location: The nearby Seatac airport is the base of the hotel's existence.
The quality of the building is low and not in proper maintenance. Construction activities behind the hotel concern the light rail extension south of Seatac airport and continue during the night, thus disturbing your sleep. Single glass windows in leaking frames do not keep aircraft take-off noise down to an acceptable level. International phonecalls are impossible. A hairdryer is not available. The terrain around the hotel should be available for parking of guest cars only but parking space is also sold to travellers flying from Seatac. To find a parking space near your room is difficult.

Never again!

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Worst hotel I've stayed in. The shuttle took over 45 minutes to pick me up from the airport after the staff on the phone said the shuttle would be there in 15 minutes. Room was DISGUSTING!!! Stains on the comforter, carpet, bathroom and the only chair in the room. The mattress must have been over 10 years old. And you could feel every person who slept in it before I tried to sleep. I was too afraid of sleeping in the sheets that I "slept" fully clothed on top of my bag on top of the comforter. The only positive experience to take away from this hotel was I only had to spend 5 hours there. Spend the extra $30 dollars and stay at a quality hotel. Never again will I stay at the Skyway Inn.

"The Horror In Room 131" A stay I will NOT forget!

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Nothing. It obviously makes it's money by also being an airport parking/shuttle service, as cars are stacked in every available bit of blacktop.
Cons: Tear it down. The front dest employee told me there were rumors that they are going to do just that, anyway - I say, "amen" to that!
Location: There was an IHOP about a three minute walk from the hotel, right right next to a rather lovely looking Sleep Inn, where I wish I had actually stayed.
The paint was peeling, the electrical fixtures were broken, filthy, old furniture riddled with cigarette burns (in a non-smoking room), cobwebs on the ceiling, and the beginnings of mold on the bathroom ceiling. I checked-in at 10:30 pm for a quick overnight after dropping my wife at the airport. I really should have turned right around when I saw the holes in the bedspread, and the phone that was so marred and dirty that i was afraid to touch it. "I'm only here for the night," I told myself, and the linens were actually clean, so I risked it. Much to my dismay, it was worse in the morning, as I found a 1 foot by 2 foot patch of mold on the wall behind the toilet, that I hadn't seen in the evening (as two of the three light bulbs in the bathroom were out. My morning shower was scalding, as the cold water didn't work, and after walking from the shower across the carpet to the bed to put on my socks - my damp feet were filthy from the dirt and grime in a carpet that hasn't been cleaned since the Rockford Files was a first-run television show. I have been in some run-down rooms, before, but this exceeded what i thought were the limits of bad.

Skyway Inn Seatac

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: locale for the price
Cons: pillows in rooms, more parking for guests. Include an iron and board in the rooms
Location: Centrally located to the highway exits. Highline Community College within 8 miles. Easy access to food, gas airport.
For the price the hotel was comparable. They could have included an iron and ironing board in the rooms. The bathroom sink was clogged, but clean. The pillows were extremely flat but the beds were very comfortable. The parking lot is extremely congested with cars parked bumper to bumper in every direction and limiting space for guests.

Shuttle to airport is a plus

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Convenient location and great price.
Cons: Some mold stains in the bathroom. Could remove the tub and make it shower only.
Location: Location is not friendly to walking but is doable. There are sidewalks and walk lights. There are a couple of mini market types and 3 or 4 restaurants
We only stayed one night before a flight. The hotel has breakfast but our flight was too early to try it. The room was clean though a bit dated. They also offer a great deal on parking.

Don't Book this Place

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: The shuttle service to the airport
Cons: Everything can be improved.
Location: Located 30 feet from HWY 99, lots of traffic noise.
The best thing about this hotel was the shuttle service leaving to go to the airport. The room was dirty, the chair in the room was matted with grease, towel racks were torn off the wall, our mindset at this hotel was, "we can get through this"!! Very poor service in general, until it was time to leave then the staff got high marks for getting us out of there!!
