Room Amenities
Dining
The Hunt Club - This intimate restaurant, among the most acclaimed in Seattle, serves inspired farm-to-table cuisine complemented by an extensive wine list. With deep wood paneling, sensuously flavored foods, and twinkling candlelight at dinnertime, it's no wonder that the Hunt Club is the setting for close to 100 marriage proposals each year. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Fireside Room - Without question one of the most gorgeous public rooms in the city, the octagonal room is the perfect place for quiet chats and light dining by the crackling fire. Original paintings, plush wingback chairs and couches, gleaming mahogany-paneled walls, and rich tones of russet, ruby, and gold create a warmly inviting ambience. The focal point is the fireplace with its antique tiled pottery mosaic depicting an Italian landscape. The Fireside Room offers light dinners and a formal afternoon tea on weekends year round and daily during the holiday season. On Friday and Saturday evenings live entertainment is performed by a featured musician or band. Open from early afternoon until late evening.
Hunt Club Bar - This long, lean bar with comfortable banquette seating is a fine place to sip a smooth martini. Open nightly.
Piazza Capri - Open during the summer season, the Piazza Capri is reminiscent of sidewalk cafés in Italy. The Piazza is located by the courtyard fountain and features an Italian menu inspired by Harry's Bar in Venice.
Room Service - Available during limited hours.
Entertainment
Sorrento Hotel offers live jazz every Friday and Saturday. Additionally, the hotel hosts special entertainment monthly; guests can inquire at the front desk for additional information.

“Great Service”
Great Service.
“Ocotber Stay at the Sorrento”
We spent a week at the Sorrento Hotel, We were extremely satisfied with the level of service provided b y the staff both before and during our stay. The staff were accommodating and personable. I would definitely recommend this hotel over any of the larger, chain hotels. The complementary car service to surrounding landmarks was icing on the cake!
“Great service with old building charm”
stayed 5 days in a junior suite. it was a decent size room with a small bathroom and a small tub. this is a old hotel with a very charming look and a bit funky aroma. the staff is fantastic and very friendly. I will recommend this hotel if you are not seeking a contemporary luxury elements for your stay.
“Nice Hotel-OK Location-Great Food”
The bathrooms could use an update and the beds were a little hard but otherwise all other services were very good.
“We LOVED this hotel!”
My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Sorrento Hotel in September 2011 and absolutely loved it. The hotel is over a hundred years old and beautifully appointed with original wood paneling in the lobby, fireside room, bar and restaurant. The overall effect is that of an elegant small European hotel. It was incredibly clean and well maintained. Our suite (an upgrade - a special promotion advertized on Expendia) was small and cozy, with beautiful furnishings and a flat screen TV in both the bedroom and sitting room. (Our only (very minor) complaint was that there was not enough counterspace beside the sink for all my "stuff.") We had a wonderful dinner in the cozy dining room (a complimentary bottle of wine came with dinner - one bottle each time you check in and eat at the hotel). We also had breakfast in the dining room both mornings - food was very good and the service was fast. Best of all, however, was the hotel service - front desk, consierge, valet, room service and cleaning staff. Every one was exceptionally nice and helpful. We will never stay anywhere else in Seattle.
“overnight parking fees are horrible”
great hot l just the $42.00 a night to park a rental car is a bit much.. I guess im gonna invest in a car lot when i get home and charge that to park....
“Sorrento Hotel”
Nice historical hotel. Clean, good service and nice decor. Only issue I had was that valet parking was ridiculously expensive and the only other option is limited street parking. Otherwise, great hotel.
“need to update their ac system for those warm days”
We stayed at the Sorrento prior to taking a cruise to Alaska. The staff at the Sorrento was helpful with making arrangements for transportation to the pier for our cruise and giving us recommendations of places to see while we were in Seattle. While I prefer the atmosphere of older hotels, the rooms seemed to have been updated but still with that vintage feel. Everyday the rug in the elevator was changed to depict the day of the week which I thought was a nice touch. The weather in Seattle was beautiful. Sunny and warm. , Unfortunately, the Sorrento seemed ill equipt for the 'heatwave', as the a/c in our room never cooled to below 80 degrees. When I asked if they had a fan that we could use, I was told no. We ended up sleeping with the windows open as it was cooler outside. The location of the Sorrento is about 10 blocks from the water so for us it was good because it helped us to get our pre-cruise exercise.
“Superb Inn Keepers”
Tucked in a corner, up the hill on Madison, The Sorrento was a wonderful place to spend several August nights in Seattle. Before we even arrived, the correspondence with management was enthusiastic, and genuine. After we arrived, the service only got better. We did not expect the upgrade to a nicer suite, and the added bonus of valet parking. My wife and I were so impressed with this fine Hotel and staff. A very class act. Thank you Sorrento !
“Good Buy”
The Sorrento is a very quaint, old world hotel with excellent service. The location is in walking distance to many attractions. The facility is quite old but with beautiful woodwork. Like many older hotels it tended to have a mild moldy smell in the lobby and lounge area. Unfortunately the view from our room was a parking lot on one side and a brick wall on the other. We had a special Expedia rate but I felt it was overpriced.
