"Great stay in downtown hotel. Large, modern room"
Prompt valet and very friendly welcome upon our arrival. The hotel is well situated, only a few blocks from what I'd call the downtown area-central business district, Pike Place market and the harbourfront. Room very spacious and clean. Modern styling with great amenities. Pretty good views from the fifth floor too! Fast wifi is always a plus. We were only staying for two nights but could easily enjoy a longer stay in this hotel-it's a great base from which to enjoy Seattle. The pool and gym area were clean with towels available-I only used the sauna and steam room. My only comment is that the lockers required keys but I didn't find out where to acquire keys from so had to leave my clothes out on the bench in the changing rooms. A very good hotel and everything was hassle-free and relaxing.

    Best Time to Go

In spite of the city’s reputation for constant drizzle, summer in this part of Washington is actually very dry, with endless days of sunshine and comfortable temperatures in the 70s and 80s. Summer days are perfect for taking advantage of the state's bountiful opportunities for outdoor adventure, from kayaking past leaping dolphins to kicking back at outdoor concerts and meandering through fragrant parks. Hotels tend to be booked early during these few short months, so plan far in advance for a summer visit. To get the best deals, you’ll likely have to visit in the rainy season, between October and April, when rates can be half of what they are in summer.

    Things to Do

Art and culture of all sorts are everywhere in the Emerald City, from a rock 'n' roll museum where you can create your own cool beats to glittering Dale Chihuly glass-work exhibits and the funky art installations of the Fremont neighborhood. Explore underground streets, take a riotous amphibious boat tour, or ride the ferry out to the quaint towns and gorgeous parks of Bainbridge Island. Seattle’s legendary waterfront is a mass of color, street performers, restaurants, and bars; see it all and more from the top of the massive Ferris wheel. Don’t forget the camera to grab shots of colorful fruit and flower stalls, flying fish, and spectacular views of Elliot Bay at Pike's Place Market.

    Top-Notch Amenities at Seattle Resorts

Whatever your vacation or business travel style, Expedia.com can help you find the perfect resort, hotel, or quaint little inn. Book an artsy heritage gem, a majestically ornate vintage hotel, or a cheap hipster hideaway and enjoy extras like complimentary wine tastings, charming little courtyards, and art deco interiors. Heavenly luxury resorts in Seattle feature regal amenities like indoor infinity pools, spa-sized bathrooms, in-room massage, swanky restaurants, luxe lounges, and glitzy rooftop bars.

Stay at one of the high-end hotels and enjoy amenities that include business centers, indoor pools, saunas, shops, concierge services, and fitness centers. You can also head to the hills, stay slope-side, and glide in and out of lively ski resorts near Seattle, hopping from black diamond trails and half-pipes to mulled wine and hot chocolate at the lodge in no time flat.

    Unique Neighborhoods and Awesome Attractions

Each Seattle neighborhood has its own distinct vibe, so try to hit some highlights in each one. Artsy Fremont is famed for funky art installations and eccentric events while downtown and the waterfront is where you’ll find the Seattle Art Museum and the piers. Head to Seattle Center for Space Needle views, the Pacific Science Center, and the colorful displays of Chihuly Garden and Glass. For the ultimate in chic cafés, inspiring eateries, and old-time cinemas, take to the tree-lined streets of Capitol Hill.

No trip to Seattle would be complete without a ferry ride, so escape for a day to beautiful Bainbridge Island, where the Bloedel Reserve offers magnificent manicured gardens and astonishing views. If you have a bit more time, travel on up the bay to Vashon and Whidbey, drinking in misty views of wild North Pacific islands and maybe even a few breaching whales. Be sure to take a boat tour of lively Lake Union and see the houseboat from "Sleepless in Seattle" while water planes seem to plop down perilously close to sailboats. Explore the myriad wonders of the Emerald City and have plenty of extra cash to spend with the amazing deals on ski resorts and charming boutique hotels in Seattle from Expedia.com, where you can find top hotels for less.
