“Excellent, First Rate Hotel and Staff”

I traveled to Seattle on business. I had never been to Seattle and I had never heard of a Heathman Hotel. I also don't normally write reviews for anything. However, I was extremely pleased with this hotel. The facilities and rooms are new and clean. The workout room has excellent equipment, include built-in tvs. I had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and the experience was far superior to any hotel breakfast that I had ever had.

“New and classy hotel in downtown Kirkland”

Nothing better than a fancy hotel that allows you to walk to a nice downtown. Everything is first class inside. Short walk to downtown Kirkland and Lake Washington shoreline. Parking in that area is tight, so you are going to valet your car. I enjoyed it.

“Beautiful Hotel”

The Heathman Hotel was very luxurious. The rooms were clean and well appointed. We really enjoyed the large bath tub (which was very deep but not very long) with endless hot water. I went with my husband and two children for the 4th of July weekend. The staff was extremely courteous and accommodating. Only a couple of hiccups: My sister's family attended with us and even though we all prepaid for the room they put a hold on her card for $200 when we got there without telling her. Apparently they did the same to me but my credit union released the hold quickly and her bank did not release it for three days after we left. They told her this charge was standard practice for hotels but it just would have been nice to have told us they were doing that. It really could have put a damper on things if we did not have a lot of spending money. Also, my husband and I booked at the spa for a couple's massage. We got there on time but when we were called in we were told that they were running behind so we would either have to give up the foot soak that comes with massages or we could have a shorter service. I was a bit stressed about this because we paid so much for the massages. Once in getting the massage my husband had an excellent experience with his deep tissue massage and mine was fairly mediocre.

Our stay was just a layover on our way back to New York, but if we had known how nice this hotel is, we would have arranged to stay longer. The decor is absolutely stunning, with an efficient layout and modern flair. The dining room and bar were elegant and modern, and the bartender was very friendly. The fitness room was well-done with new equipment. The only downside is that the front desk staff are a little young and inexperienced. Otherwise this is a top-notch hotel.

The hotel is exceptional. It is in a grate location. The only down side is the lack of parking. But I would go back there in a minute.
