One of the Best Hotels

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: Safe, friendly, Clean, great internet, no parking fee
Location: Opera, sports arena, musical shows, food, food and more food. Space needle, EMP, monorail.
I picked this hotel for location. My husband was climbing Mount Rainer and I was to be alone for four days. I was taking an online class and needed internet dependiblity!!! The time while he was gone the hotel staff (manager, manitainence, maids, clerks) all gave me good mornings, advice on walking routes, food, and general safegaurds. I was so pleased with the hotel. It was clean safe. Water, tea and coffee were in room at no charge. Parking garage was safe and secure at no charge. Cupcakes in lobby 3-7pm daily. Grocer, pharmacy and urgent care (massage, eye care, nail salon) and anything else you need within three blocks of hotel. Bikes to loan. Mostly quite in rooms. Pillow top beds with fabulous sheets. Large room with a view of the space needle. I loved my stay at this hotel. When I go back to Seattle I will pick this one again.

Great decor, great location

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Location, decor, room size, cleanliness, friendly staff, very dog-friendly and easy dog walks nearby
Location: Seattle Center, a great place within short walking distance. Good dining choices within walking distance for breakfast/lunch/dinner.
Very nice hotel with colorful decor, very large room, nice bathroom, large desk space. Location is great, a short walk from Seattle Center in a quiet neighborhood away from downtown. Good dining spots within walking distance, and the Metropolitan Market also in walking distance--the greatest food/cooking/little bit of everything market. You could easily spend days here without needing a car. There is secure underground parking as well. We had our two small dogs with us--the hotel is very dog-friendly, and the Seattle Center is a good place for dog walks. In a 3-week road trip through three states, this was our favorite hotel.

We had our 3 and 4 year old boys. Hotel was in a great location and our room was nice. The kids loved the popcorn! Coffee and cupcakes in the afternoon were a fun treat. The free shuttle was wonderful and timely. Thanks for a nice stay.

Awesome hotel in Seattle!

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Everything is very clean, tidy and colourful in the room. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
Cons: None
Location: Very near to Space Needle and Chihuly Garden & Glass. However, a bit further away from the city/shopping areas.
Excellent customer service, good atmosphere, free car parking and pretty nice location nearby.

Wonderful staff, fantastic location

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: Bright and cheerful. Very 'easy-going'. Card key required to use the lift -- felt safe.
Cons: Housekeeping a bit erratic. Would appreciate better lighting in the room. (Maybe it's just us being older and needing better light.)
Location: Space Needle (didn't bother, queues too long), Chihuly Glass Garden, Ride-the-ducks ('captains' are lunatics), EMP, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Stayed here for a family wedding. Proximity to Space Needle, EMP, Chihuly Glass Garden and monorail. This means being able to get to the centre of public transport (for us, anyway, at Westlake Centre) in a few minutes, and then a bus to where we needed to go. QFC (supermarket) for all supplies (and cooked food), nail salon (on same street), lots of eating places about. Made use of the hotel online 'concierge' which found us a noisy pub with great crepes.

Nice boutique Seattle hotel in excellent location.

Posted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: Decoration and furnishings, comfortable bed, free parking, easy city street access, friendly staff.
Cons: Improve the wireless - room on far end of end of hotel and service was spotty. Room cleaning a little late one day, was jet-lagged and wanted nap.
Location: Great casual eateries and coffee shops within easy walk for breakfast and dinner. Good place to hang out and feel like a local.
Stayed for three nights on PNW vacation. Lower Queen Anne location was excellent, easy access from I-5, despite the Highway 99 and tunnel construction. Easy 15-20 minute walk to downtown, and 2 minute walk from Seattle Center. They have free bikes, as well as shuttle for further distances. Convenient to North Seattle neighborhoods - Fremont, Ballard, Upper Queen Anne, as well as Belltown and Denny/Lake Union areas downtown. This is a great hip spot for pleasure or business if you want to be centrally located to all the good stuff, but not be in a big stuffy hotel downtown, or on the outskirts of city. Rooms were very clean, coolly decorated and staff was super nice. Slightly pricey but free coffee, bottled water, internet and parking - good value for being so close to downtown.

Cons: Lower your room cost.
Location: Seattle Center, spacie needle thing, Queen Anne. Pikes Market a short shuttle ride away.
Stayed for a conference. No car, but that did not matter. Everything is within walking distance or a short ride away. Clean, friendly, and close to where I wanted to go.

First time in Seattle, Maxwell Hotel AWESOME!

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: I loved everything about The Maxwell. I have never been to a cleaner or more welcoming hotel. I wish I could have brought my room home with me!!
Cons: I appreciate that they provide a hair dryer but the cord was only about 12 inches long. Not long enough to be able to use while looking in the mirror.
Location: Hotel is only a few blocks from the Seattle Center which has the Space Needle, a few museums, places to eat. 24hr grocery store a few blocks away.
My flight got in very early and I arrived to the hotel around noon. A room was not ready for me but I didn't expect that a room would be ready since it was a few hours before the hotel's check in time. The woman at the desk gave me access to park my rental car in the garage (where I left my suitcase). The hotel is very close to the Seattle Center (location of the Space Needle, Music Museum and other attractions), so I was able to walk around and get to know the area near the hotel. When I got back to the hotel, the room had been cleaned but someone still had to inspect it (I found this to be impressive). Not related to hotel but I would also recommend taking the Explore Seattle Tour through EverGreen Escapes.
