Bad Timing

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: First rate service, very friendly staff and very nice, big rooms.
Cons: Let guests know that there will be major, NOISY construction throughout one's stay. It ruined the entire week.
Location: Walking distance of downtown and Pike Place Market. Parks nearby. Great market several blocks away. Space needle right there.
The hotel is very nice, the staff is wonderful. But the ambience! We were guests the week there was major, noisy construction in the lobby. The breakfast nook was closed. The high level of noise made it impossible to sit in their nice lobby. Staying in the room was not optional, as the noise reverberated up to the third floor. Earplugs were handed out, which was considerate. But I did not pay to stay in a hotel the was virtually uninhabitable during working hours. A BIG disappointment.

Close to event

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Close to event
Cons: They could have advised guest when they drove in about the remodeling.
Location: Hotel is only a few blocks away from the Seattle Center
While the hotel was close to the event, the hotel was going through some renovations that made checking in difficult. Tile replacement at the elevators made for some difficulties.

The Pineapple is okay!

Posted May 13, 2015
Pros: I liked the bedding and the fluffy towels.
Cons: I think the staff needs to be more engaging with the patrons - saying "hi' and welcome - is a start.
Location: It's a 5 block (ten min) walk to the Space Needle area and I highly recommend the Land and Water Duck tour - awesome!!
I have never been to Seattle - and traveling with my 82 year-old Grandmother and two children - I was apprehensive - and thank goodness. I had arranged transportation with The Maxwell two months before we came in for Mother's Day. I called a day before I left (they asked me to) to let them know we were still coming. I was informed that they not didn't provide a shuttle at the time of our arrival - hmmm. they did make it up to us and sent a car. We arrived the staff was friendly, Reva at the front desk was able to accommodate our party. The room was clean and tidy. I asked about the shuttle service and where they would drop, etc, not too much info was given. We took a taxi most of the time, their shuttle was "full" (although I saw it parked more than used). I think what bothered me the most was that we were gone all day Saturday 9:30 to 5:00 and our room was never cleaned. The cart was in front of our room when we left and there when we got back - we were tired (especially Grandma) and were not interested in having our room cleaned as we got ready for dinner - I asked for fresh towels - and at the front desk was question why I asked for more towel?! "Really, well, my room wasn't cleaned and we wanted to shower?!" I know that's petty to some - but it really bothered me - then we went to get a taxi - had the front call for one - 45 min? lost our dinner rsvp - so, there were a lot of "little" things that happened, I travel quite a bit - and for those reasons wouldn't stay again.

Rather Different experience

Posted May 12, 2015
Pros: Clean, Quiet
Cons: Its just rather a different experience, Id say more trending to the younger-set!
Location: Good for walking to Center Events, also little "bicycle-carts-being peddled by strong men" are available @ Center grounds, if you get tired!
Stayed overnight to attend a concert at key Arena. Location is great although a little removed from main business area. Hotel is "modern-type",rooms are colored rather strange for my "old-soul", but all in all ,its very clean & especially quiet. People[personell] were O.K., not really overly friendly or warm. Other then the "housekeepers", who are very helpful & friendly. Elevators were under repair, so getting to lobby was kind of a chore, but Hey!! I'd stay again if needed something close to Seattle Center.

Hotellet ligger downtown.

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: Kommer ikke på noe.
Cons: Service.

A Hidden Gem

Posted May 11, 2015
Cons: I always was able to get a strong WiFi connection throughout the hotel (room, lobby, restaurant), but actual Internet performance was frequently poor.
Clean, comfortable, courteous, convenient, a little campy, and a comparative bargain. I almost hate to rate this hotel too high for fear they'll increase their rates, but it's deserved. I was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel so clean and up-to-date. The bed was comfy (prepare for a slightly different bedding experience) as was the chairs in the public areas. The front desk and housekeeping staff greated me warmly and were quite helpful. It's an easy 2-block walk from the Seattle Center and the monorail downtown, quick accesses to the freeway (well, as quick as it gets in Seattle), and the adjoining restaurant is one of my favorite northwest-based chains. The retro 60's decor is a refreshing change from the usual hotel furniture. Best of all, the price was just right, and NO hidden fees for parking and WiFi.

Nice hotel close to Seattle Center

Posted Apr 25, 2015
Pros: Location, decor, cupcake reception, friendly front desk staff.
Cons: Advertised as area shuttle but it only goes to a few area attractions at designated times during the day or at least that is what the concierge said.
Location: Seattle Center, Space Needle, Key Arena, waterfront/Pikes Market, shopping
Queen Anne district, great location, easy walk to Seattle Center, waterfront. Shuttle to some area attractions. Free parking. Nice reception in the afternoon. Bikes and umbrellas available.
