Very Nice Hotel

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: The location is ideal to the Seattle center and close to Pike's Place Market.
Cons: The bar closed to early. The bar and restaurant were full and made last call at 11:30. We walked across the street to another place for a cocktail
Location: The hotel is a block away from Seattle Center and the Space Needle is in walking distance.
The Maxwell Hotel was recommended to me by my son. He didn't steer me wrong. The rooms are clean and nice and large. In room coffee is available every day. For the price you can't beat it!

Parking problem

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Cons: parking experience
We made a good trip to Seattle mid-November, stayed in Maxwell for two nights. The room (#256) was very nice and tidy. Everything worked well, except for Wi-Fi - "poor signal" but I wouldn't bother complaining about it. The only issue I want to share is related to parking. My reservation clearly stated "free parking" and it was free for the first night. On the second night, we came after 11 pm and found no empty spot in the hotel underground parking. Staff told us that parking was NOT guaranteed (?!?) and that we could park overnight on the street or in the nearby parkade for ~$12... Not a big deal, just unpleasant aftertaste.

Pros: electic
Cons: nothing
Location: we were going to see oprah at the key centre
The room was great, the staff went out of their way to help us, free bikes to ride and the staff in the rock downstairs bent over backwards to assist us...will go back again...oooo and the cupcakes! fantastic!!

Parking issues

Posted Nov 14, 2014
Stayed here after the hotel first opened so we were excited to stay here again. But upon arrival shortly after 5pm we found no parking available in their parking garage for our small SUV as larger over sized vehicles were parked in the compact spaces taking up more then one space so that the only thing that would fit would be a mini. We were told we could either find street parking or park in the pay to park garage across the street. They didn't even offer to take our bags to our room or pick up the tab. They also said they would look into the parking issue but we checked 4 hours later and none of the cars had moved. What they should do is ask what kind of car you are driving then assign you a spot according to the availability and size of your vehicle. Other then that the room was nice besides someone upstairs that sounded like an elephant walking around.

Great value nice hotel

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Clean, value, hip.
Cons: There's no usage or speed setting on the Wifi per user, so when someone is "downloading", the wifi speed goes to unacceptable speed.
Location: Close to everything
Great value for the price, free Wifi & Parking, sound insulation is a bit weak, kinda disappointed for a concrete building like this, you can hear people talking and television sound when you are trying to seep at 12am and of course people walking on top of you. Other than that, the hotel room is really clean, staff is really friendly, great to have underground parking when you have kids to drag around and it is raining.

First time in Seattle

Posted Nov 5, 2014
Love this Hotel. It is in walking distance to everything, even a little grocery store that was like a mini Whole Foods. The beds are super comfy. The kids and I loved going down to the lobby everyday a 3:00 for the cupcakes. They are small but really good! There is DVD player in the room so one night we walked a few blocks to 7 eleven where they had a redbox. Only thing they should change is the shuttle time. They stop it at 5:00. They should a least stop it at 8:00. We wanted to go to dinner around Pikes Place and had to pay for a taxi on the way back. If we ever visit Seattle again we will be staying here again.
