Weekend Getaway

Posted Jun 2, 2014
My daughters and I stayed for a weekend getaway. Very pleasant stay, no negatives and the shopping center and restaurants were where we didn't have to go outside to reach them. Very nice weekend.

Excellent choice; great location

We had a wonderful stay. Right in the heart of the shopping/entertainment district. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable. A bit pricey, especially after adding the valet parking cost, but for a special splurge, definitely worth it!

Good, but what gives with the Wifi?

Posted May 5, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and maid service, front end staff.
Cons: Internet access, room amenities.
A clean, well-lighted place, as Hemingway might have said, but the room needed a microwave and a better coffee maker. Small, but significant, issues. More seriously, the Westin's predatory pricing for net access in one's room, coupled with a needless ritual with a time limit for internet in the lobby, made one think of an Eastern European or Italian dive. The Westin in Dresden was the only German hotel we found with this hapless, off-putting policy. As with Dresden, so with Bellevue. No jokes about bombing....
