Great alternative to staying in Seattle

Posted Aug 1, 2015
Pros: Clean, modern, quiet. Easy access to stores and restaurants. Very nice staff.
Cons: Add a small microwave to each room.
Location: Close to Seattle, Pike's Place Market, Safeco Field. Fav restaurant (Cheesecake Factory) located right across the street from this hotel!
We took our son to Seattle to celebrate his 18th birthday and take in a Mariner's game. We hadn't been to Seattle in 30 years so we consulted a friend who lived there about where to stay. Because it was late July and high tourist season, most reasonably priced hotels near the ballpark were booked. So, our friend suggested Bellevue. The Bellevue Westin was a beautiful hotel with a great location right in the center of the city. Great walkability to stores and restaurants. And, it was less than a 30 minute drive to Safeco field. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay.

not worth the price

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Location. Attended arts festival
Cons: $ price needs to equal value. I will certainly pay for value.
Location: Shopping mall across the street. Annual arts festivals across the streets. Restaurants close
Service was so so. We could not get the room temperature to something comfortable. Took all night to cool down.. side door handle to building fell off in my hands! Long waits at check in. Shower pressure low on 10th floor.I paid $406 for one night. Not impressed at all.

Really poor customer service

Posted Jul 19, 2015
Pros: My experience with the staff have perpetually ruined my experience here.
Cons: Staff TRAINING on CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE and basic common sense manners to treating people with dignity!
This was easily the worst hotel experience that I have ever had. The hotel conicidentally happend to be having a sports team staying in their hotel at the same time and often employed draconican measures on some of its other guests including my person: 1. I was asked not to sit in the lobby area (even though the space was not ofifically reserved for the sports team) to not "interfere" with the sports team. I explained I had no interest in autographs or pictures, but (Alyssa - I think it was) asked me repeatedly why I was sitting in the lobby and made it clear she preferred me not to be there. 2. I was informed that upon check-in, I had to immediately leave the hotel, even though I had 5 hours until my flight of Seattle. I asked why, and I was told that immediately I check out, I could no longer have the common courtesy of waiting for a couple of hours in the lobby or general areas until I could head to the airport. The attitude of the staff was often disgusting to say the least. What a horrible experience.

Decent location, old everything else

Posted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Location and pleasing people at the reception.
Cons: This hotel needs major renovation inside.
Location: Goto Din Tai Fung and the Bellevue mall. Bellevue Museum closeby.
The hotel was right in the Bellevue downtown so served my business need well. It was disappointing that the room, bedding and towels were so old. No water in the room made it worse. Would have been great to have got the SPG floor given i am the SPG privilege member but to no such avail.

Convenient, close to shopping

Posted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: the beds are always good
Cons: noticed a bit of dirt underneath the bed sheets. Looks like chocolate smear or something. Didn't notice it until we were about to leave
Location: shopping, convenient location
One of the best hotels in Bellevue as always. Close to shopping, good stop if you are stopping near seattle and don't want to stay in Seattle. Bellevue feels a lot safer than in Seattle. Right next to the Bellevue Square Mall, park in the underground parking (pricing is steep during the week, free on weekends) and just want over to the Bellevue Square Mall or Lincoln square for shopping/food. If you need groceries, there is a 24hr QFC store within 5 minutes walking distance

outdated rooms

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: staff
Cons: room quality
our original room was an odd shaped cube with furniture from the 80s, a tiny TV and visible stains on the bedspread. we asked to be moved to a different room, the staff was friendly and did move us to a new room. The room was better but still not what I expected, was underwhelmed.

weekend trip

Posted Jun 7, 2015
My daughter and I were staying in Bellevue for a family weekend.our check in was easy the clerk was very friendly and helpful, giving us dining ideas for the area. The hotel is centrally located, great for shopping, dining, and exploring. The room was spacious, and the bed was so comfy. The workout room has lots of equipment, headsets, water, everything we needed for a great workout. would definitely stay there again.
